@Rod_Studd Like the obstruction rule Rod , rather than allowing the official to make a decision based on what he sees, apply some pre defined criteria to determine the offence, which then ironically bears no resemblance to the said offence

@Rod_Studd I seem to remember the NRL introduced some similar new rules around head contact mid season about 18m/2y ago around their magic round, there was similar outrage, games gone etc. Adjustments made, game carries on, surprised no one else remembers
