@surajkibahomein Best I got was 90s MJ, Cavs Bron, clippers Blake, and jokic on the same squad
78 wins
Either deron will is buns or this game is rage bait
Took me watching breakdowns of Steph's game after KD left to really get it
By the time that 22 ring hit I knew there might not be 2 guards better than him man
shortcuts like βgravityβ and βMamba Mentalityβ were supposed to help explain two of the densest players ever, but ended up oversimplifying their process, so now a lot of ppl donβt fully understand why they were so great, so their names get played with way more than they should
I'm fine with the way the refs ultimately called this, but Alex Caruso is dirtier than his reputation suggests and he clearly wasn't making a play on the ball.
Been tryna figure out why this hasn't been the code all series? I know it's a new era but at least make it count esp for that bald guy with the headband smh
This is false (role players don't get awarded for flops like on OKC) but also yes this is kind of the point? They don't need to do all that bs to win & yet those are their highlights
Mike Breen on SGA:
"Does Shai sell calls sometimes? Absolutely, but so do 287 other players in the NBAβ¦ When they weren't a championship contender, nobody complained. They only complain now because they are winning.β

I've been trying to figure out why the spurs coach looks so familiar to me
And why I get slightly annoyed when I see that blank look on his face
It's musk. He looks like the owner of this site before the drugs lol
Lived on both coasts (socal + northeast) also. It's accurate & kind of an understated dynamic in usa how many benefits come w living near good colleges, even if you didn't go to one.
Much more likely to have a strong middle class, good schools for kids, & better jobs
As a Londonder who moved to USA and lived in the Northeast and the west coast, I have noticed a HUGE intelligence gap between the 2
In New England / New York people are much more cultured, self aware and mindful of other people. In California many more self centered, conflict driven people who find it hard to step out of their own worldview.
I wonder if university culture plays a part in this.
Obv a long series otw, bt the thing about bball, and playoff ball in particular, is:
As much as one team has depth or a smarter scheme, it's super tough to beat a team when they have the best player on the court.
Wemby clearly a playoff riser.. let's see where the ceiling goes
Aging poorly! That small ball space + wembys conditioning + spurs guards / wings wetting the bed + deeply inferior bench got OKC looking like they just foul bait bc they enjoy it π

I get the champions deference but even with the 40-20 night I'm surprised more folks haven't suggested this
I think it'll still go 6 but the reg season was pretty convincing
NOBODY on these pods knows what it's like to be a hof/GOAT level / multi time champ defender like he does
You do breakdowns of where the defenses fail, why OKCs is so dominant, why makes xyz defender so good??
Irreplaceable content
If this man spoke about these topics with this passion on every podcast episode he wouldn't need guests, a co host or anything it'd immediately jump to top 5 bball player podcasterst

Famous last words, and this might be some Old Takes Exposed fodder, but there's a chance the Western Conference Finals ends up being a short series. At some point, our eyes and brains have to accept what we've been seeing all season with this matchup
