OMFG! This response from @AbdulElSayed to a completely bigoted question is probably the best thing I’ve heard all year.
Every bigot in America needs to listen to this three times.
BREAKING: Jon Stewart incinerates Trump for his disgusting "let them eat cake" attitude after he threw a Great Gatsby party as 42 million Americans lost food benefits: “Donald Trump doesn't give a f*ck about even looking like he gives a f*ck!"
This is some of the comedian’s best work yet…
"Donald Trump is a bighearted caring man who works twenty hours a day, seven days a week to deliver for the American people," Stewart said sarcastically on "The Daily Show."
"So I imagine if I were to randomly turn on the camera at Mar-a-Lago where Trump was on the very night that the poorest of American people lost their food benefits, we would see images that would reflect Trump's concern and dedication. Is that correct? You know what, in fact, let's turn on that camera,” said Stewart.
Stewart then played some of the absurd footage from Mar-a-Lago over the weekend, including dancers spinning in giant martini glasses.
"Yeah! That's what he was doing this weekend. He wasn't working for the American people. That was just some Hollywood Babylon sh*t!" said Stewart. "That once and for all showed that Donald Trump doesn't give a f*ck about even looking like he gives a f*ck!"
"On the very night SNAP benefits ended, Trump threw a Great Gatsby-themed ode to decadence and hedonism that even Jeffrey Epstein would have thought was a little over the top," said Stewart. "There were dancers, costumes, champagne. A wonderful celebration where the theme was apparently gross income inequality."
"The slogan of the party as people were losing their food benefits was, I sh*t you not: 'A little party never killed nobody.' Did you even read the Great Gatsby!?" Stewart continued. "Spoiler alert: the party killed somebody! Two somebodies!"
"How do you not know that? I knew that and I've only read the Cliff notes," Stewart joked. "The Great Gatsby is a cautionary tale and it's the theme for your— What'd you just think oh it's a great book about a rich guy who bangs married ladies. No! Partially, yes but the subtext!"
"You see, usually in a time of national suffering there's a generally accepted principle in leadership that you at least pretend to feel the pain of the people that you represent," said Stewart. "But this president seems to go out of his way to let struggling Americans know that he is doing very well."
"Their premiums may be going up, tariffs might be shutting down your small business, you may be losing your food assistance, but it'll all be okay because Donald Trump is building a ballroom that looks like the inside of Marie Antoinette's vagina. I don't actually know that," Stewart said. "That was rude.”
As usual, Stewart absolutely nailed it. Trump is confident in his brainwashing of his base that he thinks he can get away with literally anything. Come the midterm elections, we disabuse him of that notion.
Please retweet and ❤️ if you love that Jon Stewart's show was renewed!
Just received my order from @amazon. I paid $20 for gift wrap for five items, and they stuck it all in one bag. Wtf? And there is no way to contact them & complain. Not happy.
The same week that we were told that up to a million kids could die abroad because of cuts to the US aid budget here’s the official Twitter account of the GOP-led House Foreign Affairs Committee celebrating the death/killing of USAID. Hard to be more sociopathic than this.
Whoa!
A new survey finds that the % of religiously unaffiliated Americans is, for the first time, larger than the % of white Protestants (both evangelical and mainline)!

We know regular mass shootings aren't a "fact of life" (Vance) or something we just "have to get over" (Trump) because they weren't always a daily reality in America.
We CAN have safer communities.
Don't stop demanding action to get them.
Holy SHIT.
J.D. Vance went to war with the cat ladies. Now he's gone to war with postmenopausal women.
This is wild:
