Yesterday I visited the Oliver museum for the kid’s book I’m writing with @seniornomad. What an adventure, an old jail, a kangaroo & a huge cherry pie. These little local museums are filled with so many unexpected treasures
@ConnectionsHope I have all my daughter’s favourite clothes, her drawings, her violin, all her books. Occasionally I give things away to a special young person I know will love the belonging the way she did. Mostly I just like to know her things are there.
Today marks the 6th anniversary of Indy’s death. It’s hard to believe as I can just close my eyes and still feel her in my arms, smell her skin. This year I worked. Usually I go away. Tonight I’m celebrating her with a big bowl of ramen & some sushi. I sure miss my girl
When I don’t write I express my creativity through thrifting. Today I found a cheese plate featuring the cheeses of British, a belly dancing belt, and a knitting book. The other day I bought a porcelain British Bulldog. Maybe I should use everything for a writing prompt
