Buried in the @AISecurityInst incident report: misconfigured tasks left the agent believing no legitimate solve existed. Near-impossible goals pushed it toward fake identities and social-engineering a real open-source maintainer. AISI says that's not the whole story. But it's the part harness builders can act on: a bad spec doesn't just fail, it recruits the agent into working around you. https://t.co/LAxssz8OrC
Busy times for the Gamma ecosystem. ChatGPT connector v5 is out and now at parity with Claude: analytics, comments, export, multipage. New @SlackHQ app. @ManusAI users can now plug into Gamma's MCP. @HubSpot just listed us on their marketplace too. Not bad for a Thursday.
@katelyn_lesse Super interesting to see the flavor variety in agentic software dev platforms and the infra underneath the products coming out. Thanks for the insight @entombedvirus and @katelyn_lesse
@clairevo Only you would build a blind benchmark rigorous enough to lose an argument with yourself 😂 Opus winning while the slop makes your blood boil is the funniest possible outcome. Rematch once your prompts adapt to its quirks?
@danshipper@every Deleting the skills is the honest move. A lot of harness code is scaffolding that compensates for the last model's weaknesses, and a new model turns it into drag. Which skills survived the rebuild? That's the list I'd want to see @danshipper!
Curiosity's wheels are full of holes and @NASAJPL says they're holding up well. Both things are true. The rover was designed for a two-year prime mission and it's on year 14. I worked Mars surface ops for nine years, and design life was where the conversation started. Nobody's driving to Gale Crater with a spare. https://t.co/YlZ1ltBXc7
@dsp_ Congrats! The stateless core is the right call, and extensions are the part I'm watching: the core only stays small if the interesting work can live outside it. Tasks earning a slot as an extension instead of a core feature is a good early sign.
Tasks is the extension I'd use first. Generating a deck takes minutes, so today we ship separate status-polling tools and every client has to know the dance. With Tasks the host tracks progress natively. A whole category of workaround tooling goes away https://t.co/1TV3WKFgF2
Gravity assists don't stop being wild to me. Aim at Mars to reach a metal asteroid, and the nav team threads it from millions of miles out. I spent a decade at JPL and the trajectory folks still felt like wizards. https://t.co/3eVGySFWef
Design AI for outcomes, not features.

Language models are eager to please. When they can't find answers, they improvise. In enterprise settings, that's unacceptable.

"The best reason to enter a category isn't the lack of competition. It's having a unique insight, a fresh perspective, or a burning desire to solve a problem in a new way." Couldn't agree more @thisisgrantlee !
When I tell people that Gamma is taking on slides, I often get puzzled looks.
"Isn't that market saturated?"
"Doesn't PowerPoint dominate everything?"
The market is crowded, and yes, there are dominant players who've been around for decades.
But here's what most people miss: slides have become the language of business.
In the idea marketplace, where decisions are made and futures are shaped, slides often determine the winners.
For better or worse, the best slides frequently win the day.
I recently tweeted that "the world's most valuable skill is about to become obsolete," referring to slide-making. It ruffled some feathers, especially in startup circles.
Many argued that most startups rarely use slides beyond fundraising pitches.
But that's exactly the point — they're thinking narrowly.
Step outside the tech bubble, and you'll see a different reality. In large orgs, slides are how information spreads.
They're used for sales pitches, marketing proposals, and even internal communication. They're not a tool, they're a medium.
So why take on this challenge?
Because slides haven't fundamentally changed in almost 40 years. The world has moved on, but slides haven't kept up.
Gamma reimagines presentations from the ground up.
• What if slides were responsive, adapting seamlessly to any device?
• What if you could embed rich, interactive media directly into your deck?
• What if the presentation itself was interactive, allowing viewers to explore data and concepts in real-time?
• What if we could make this powerful medium accessible to everyone, not just design experts?
These are the questions that energize me and my team. Yes, it's a crowded market.
Yes, there are giant incumbents.
But when you have a vision for something fundamentally better, that's not a deterrent — it's motivation.
The best reason to enter a category isn't the lack of competition.
It's having a unique insight, a fresh perspective, or a burning desire to solve a problem in a new way.

Giving and receiving feedback takes practice and having some ground rules can be a helpful guide to productive outcomes. Be your best and help others grow. Thanks @gibsonbiddle
Weekend reading: A quick thread on Netflix's 5As for giving/receiving feedback:
1. Aim to assist. Give feedback to be helpful. Don’t work off anger or promote your own goals.
2. Actionable. Give specific feedback to help make the person better...
I helped build a startup to $100M in annual revenue.
But when the time came to leave, I made a terrible financial decision that almost ruined me.
Here’s what happened (+ some valuable lessons):
Left: @NASAHubble Right: @NASAWebb images of The Pillars of Creation. Observations here help us understand how stars form out of the nearby gas and dust. Amazing how JWST can cut through the dust to get such clarity! https://t.co/2ZeuZSlLDj
@kintan@shreyas Couldn't agree more with all 3 of those @kintan. It's always shocking when a candidate only has a few basic questions about org structure and responsibilities, but fails to show genuine curiosity about the product and business!
@lissijean@gibsonbiddle@simplybastow A lot of attention on the now/next/consider but what about a shoutout associating strategy to a measurable outcome! Holy grail of aligning teams. Must have taken a lot of iterations to get to that and to make it look so simple. 👏 @gibsonbiddle
