I talked to a founder today whose customers are all really nice people, because their initial market happens to be one that attracts such people. The founders themselves are nice for the same reason. They're enjoying starting a startup as much as any founders I've known.
In my appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast, I gave Steven Bartlett a fascimile copy of Papyrus 46 — our earliest evidence of a collection of Paul’s letters. In that particular manuscript page it contained a section of Romans 12.

I also think the shift from statement-making to storytelling played a part. Illustrations can do that better. Interesting thread. Excited to see how tech (like DALL·E 2) changes the design landscape
Companies then started using custom illustrations in their brand aesthetic because illustrations suddenly became much more rare and expensive relative to photos.
