@levantophile@Beirutspring refers to talks with Israel as a bitter pill, which is very understandable, as you describe. But bitter pills are proscribed for a reason, namely to help you cure from disease. In the long run they contribute to your health and well-being.
@siyad_raleme What happened to the story that Israel told in October 2024, that Hezbollah would be stashing cash and gold underneath a Beirut hospital? Was that true? Was it ever found?
@EylonALevy Lebanese could already visit Israel now, there’s no Israeli law forbidding their entry (they should be prepared for heavy questioning at the airport though). However, in doing so, they will be trespassing Lebanese law, so if the Lebanese authorities find out, they’re in trouble.
@hahussain Actually, the 2006 ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, confirmed in UN Security Council resolution 1701, already included complete disarmament of all non-state actors. This is long overdue.
@aziz0nomics This pretty much sums it up. Two non-Palestinians commit a terrorist attack on Jews in Australia, thinking this somehow serves the Palestinian cause, while the actual Palestinian who happens to be around provides first aid and checks on his Jewish friends. Almost a metaphor.
@MiraMedusa Can’t wait to see the next episode - a Lebanese and and an Israeli jointly revealing their top-5 places to visit in Lebanon. Hopefully coming soon! 🇱🇧🕊️🇮🇱
@RemcoYizhakCoor Ik gok iets in Pyongyang?
