It’s refreshing to see more developers in Kenya prioritizing thoughtful architecture 🏡 — spaces that look good, feel good, and still function beautifully. Lunar Farm fits right into that category.

Lunar is a modern 2-bedroom cabin nestled at the foothills of Mt Kenya⛰️, surrounded by lush forest views and sunrise-facing mountain scenery. The design language is clean, intentional, and in harmony with its natural surroundings — both inside and out.

The cabin accommodates up to four guests comfortably, offering a cozy living room with a fireplace, a spacious kitchen, and a master bedroom with a bathtub — a thoughtful touch for slow mornings. The standout feature for me was the garden — natural, peaceful, and the perfect space to just be.

What sets Lunar apart is how well it balances contemporary architecture with a natural landscape, especially in a region where the Airbnb boom has led to many copy-paste builds. Quality here feels intentional, not accidental.

What stood out about Lunar is that it’s not just a beautiful cabin — it pulls you outdoors. We used it as our base for a Mt Kenya day hike, walking through bamboo, dense forest, and open moorland in one slow, grounding shift. We took the Naromoru route to Percival Falls, a short refreshing walk with a waterfall, bamboos, and mossy stillness — the kind of nature reset you only notice once you’ve breathed it in🍃

The drive from Nairobi is about 3 hours, on tarmacked & corrugated roads and accessible to both low and high-clearance vehicles.

If you’re an adventure lover seeking a basecamp for Mt Kenya, or someone who just needs a calm retreat with views and space to breathe — Lunar Farm is an excellent choice.
