The Congress did nothing to address the situation, unlike the BJP, which has brought in the stringent Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, to curb such practices and ensure transparency.

Nagpur Cyber Police have registered a case against four social media influencers for allegedly spreading misleading information about Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and ethanol-blended (E20) petrol on social media. The accused include influencers from Bihar and other parts of the country.

Police have launched an investigation into the posts to determine whether they violated relevant laws. The case has been registered following allegations that the content created confusion about ethanol-blended fuel and the minister's role in promoting it.
