Deion Sanders is the face of College Football. There are better teams. There are better programs.

But win, lose or draw, no one has captivated college football like Coach Prime, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and Colorado.

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter both made plays against Baylor when their team and Coach needed them the most. They made those plays in the biggest moments of the game because prime time players, make prime time plays in prime time moments.

Deion Sanders is Prime Time and his influence rubs off on his entire program.

A lot of people wondered why Colorado’s fans rushed the field after beating a 2-1 Baylor team. They rushed the field because they know what it was like before Coach Prime and his Louis luggage showed up.

There were no season ticket sell outs since 1996. With Deion, season tickets are sold out for the second straight year. School applications are up 20% with a 50.5% increase in Black student applicants.

Colorado made $113.2 million from its 2023 home games alone, which led to a 51% increase in revenue through media rights with Coach Prime at the helm.

Before Coach Prime, no one searched for a Colorado game. Last year alone Colorado averaged 7.2 Million viewers per game, with 5 games ranked in the 25 most watched college Football games of the year. That trend continues this year as well.

Coach Prime turned the worst Power 5 school in the country into one that PEOPLE CARE ABOUT.

Win or lose. You watch.

Cheering for or against. You watch.

However, his biggest accomplishment isn’t making the Colorado Buffaloes relevant again. His biggest accomplishment is empowering the young men in his program to believe in themselves, trust God and rejuvenating an entire city in the face of massive push back against his style.

Deion Sanders took 2 HBCU football players in Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter and helped coach them into 2 of the best players in the country who are both in the Heisman race.

Took multiple HBCU football players and helped coach them into high level Power 5 starters who have NFL futures.

You see the thing about Coach Deion Sanders is he is just as misunderstood as he was as a player. With him, you earn what you get and every single player in his program knows that.

On a deeper level, watching him coach his son’s is inspirational. What Deion and Lebron have done for their families and their son’s should be celebrated.

As fathers they weren’t just there, they were active. They didn’t just have the title of baby daddy, they are fathers.

Black Fatherhood has long been mischaracterized as absent and negative.

It’s amazing to see Black Fatherhood today on the highest levels be characterized as present and supportive.

Few things feel better than answered prayer 🙌🏾

On this 1st day of the new year, let’s make a corporate commitment to stop cherry picking the Word of God. The parts you don’t agree with are STILL true… just like the parts you do agree with. All truth is God’s truth. No matter where you fall on the continum of “agreement”.

”For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.“

[CACCFredericksburgVA @cacc_va]

If it’s familiar, it’s not transformation. Biblically. Worshipping the Lord with our minds requires an abandonment of the familiar and receptivity to the unfamiliar. May I think, feel, discern and perceive, less like me, and more like Jesus.

[CACCFredericksburgVA @cacc_va]

Corporate worship is NOT where you come TO worship. It where we CONTINUE in worship. What happens when we come together, is for the MATURING believer, simply a continuation of what happens when we are apart.

[CACCFredericksburgVA @cacc_va]

Conforming is NOT the problem, inherently. Who or what you are conforming to just may be. Read Romans 8:29 and Romans 12:2. Contradiction? Not a chance. Revelation? Absolutely.

[CACCFredericksburgVA @cacc_va]

According to Romans 8:29, believers/saints were PREDESTINED to BE CONFORMED. Still think “conforming” carries an inherently negative connotation?

[CACCFredericksburgVA @cacc_va]

For the follower of Jesus Christ, the more valuable question is NOT, am I conforming? It is actually, who am I conforming to?

[Robert Griffin III @RGIII]

Brock Purdy is REAL, people. I know he has TWO #1 WRs, a #1 TE, a dynamic RB, the #1 LT in the NFL and a #1 Defense, but AT THE END OF THE DAY he knows where to go with the ball and MAKES PLAYS. Stop punishing him for where he was drafted or when he was drafted. He is Purdy great

Special ops crews staged across the Commonwealth ready to respond. Swift water rescue, chainsaw crews for debris, tactical vehicles for high water rescue, and more. Our crews mobilize when a local emergency manager requests these resources. #behindthescenes #VDEM #TSOphelia

THE RACISM toward @coachprime @DeionSanders IS DESPICABLE. But we have seen this movie before. Certain kinds of folks have a huge problem with confident and visionary Black males, including in sports. Be it Muhammad Ali or Michigan’s Fab Five, same kind of hater-ism.

All the Coach Prime haters coming out in full force. Also sad to see people who have used Coach Prime for clicks switch up on him. Dirty game.

What do you mean by "taking a stand for all of us?"

[Danté Stewart (Stew) @stewartdantec]

These coaches are one speech away from calling Deion and Colorado “uppity n*****”. Their choice of words clearly show that their hate of Deion goes much further than football. They don’t believe people who look like him deserve to be where they are.

“[Kobe] has the highest threshold for pain of anybody I’ve ever met. LeBron got cramps and they carried him off the floor. Paul Pierce hurt his knee and they took him out in a wheelchair. Dwyane Wade got wheeled off after he separated his shoulder.

Kobe ruptured his achilles and wouldn’t come out of the game until the trainer let him shoot his two free throws. Then he walked all the way to the locker room. He wasn’t going to let anybody wheel him off.”

I read Eric @johnson4dallas op-ed and it’s a joke. He should have leveled with the voters of Dallas. Crime and property taxes? Man, please. He’s trying to run for higher office.

**8:30am update**
It's far from over -- Tropical Storm Ophelia made landfall in North Carolina this morning, packing winds near the center of 70mph - that's near hurricane strength! The storm will move north today, so we have plenty more rain and stronger winds heading our way.
