@miss_mcinerney @TeacherTapp Problem is in the question. Does it mean manage things like SOW and pupil intervention etc like in one person dept. Or lead a team of staff and if so how many. Being a HOD of maths in a large secondary is not for an NQT but maybe business studies in a small school a bit different

@EnserMark @Positivteacha Nail on head there mate. Wage is a good wage but the time is the problem. One simple way to increase retention? Increase minimum non contact time for teachers. Problem- cost.
