Still very sad to hear about Joshโs passing.
He was a mentor to many of us and his life touched so many others.
I last saw him at capital factory working with UT Austin students.
Praying for those that were close to him.
Josh inspired me in many ways, he was brilliant, engaged, in service of others, authentic and true to himself.
Imagining explaining to the Founding Fathers that the president imposed tariffs without an act of Congress and then removed them at the request of the King of England
At the direction of @POTUS, the @USTreasury is terminating all use of Anthropic products, including the use of its Claude platform, within our department.
The American people deserve confidence that every tool in government serves the public interest, and under President Trump no private company will ever dictate the terms of our national security.
I donโt think ai will cause the saas-pocalypse, because when people buy b2b software, they arenโt buying software, they are buying responsibility, as in someone to take responsibility for one of their problem. AI may change how a company makes decisions between make vs buy. But make means maintain. It reminds me of how Craigslist got unbundled and then rebundled.
โIn order to do populism effectively, politicians must not only focus on problems that the public cares about, they must also by-and-large accept the publicโs framing of those problems.โ
A well written and interesting article.
"The crucial thing to understand about populism ... is that it is a revolt directed against cognitive elites, not economic elites."
Cognitive elites have been struggling against understanding this for a decade. I expect the struggle to cotinue.
