I was raised in a Christian context without Psalm singing, but the occasional hymn.
Songs like Jesus loves me, Father Abraham& I’m in the Lord’s Army steeped deep in my bones.
I was then introduced to the Reformed world& that of consistently singing/hearing God’s Word to music.
Does God not use means?? Come on.
Is pulling hair a nice thing to do? No.
Pulling pulling hair a nice thing to do if you pull a lady off the road about to get hit? Yes.
Is praying for the destruction of somebody a nice thing to do if it is the means by which God brings them to repentance? Yes.
Is praying for the destruction of somebody a nice thing to do if it is the means by which God brings justice as His Kingdom advances? Also yes.
Frankly, elementary, my dear.
@MrsSkippyPetro I live this!😍 also seems like it’d work so well because the weight would serve to make it study and not roll around when trying get pins in & out!☕️💖
A pastor whose church is “Reformed.”
“Reformed” is kind of a catch all for the belief system the “reformers” had.
The majority subscribe to either the Westminster Confession of Faith (generally Presbyterian) or 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith, (Reformed Baptist) depending on details regarding Covenant Theology.
@michaeljknowles We, descendants of the Protestant Anglo stock that built America, are allowed to not want Catholics to define America’s next 250 years. We built this country and have good right to call it ours.
I do agree it ought not be a central defining characteristic of the life of young women!
I do however think it to be an amazing tool (not the only tool, obviously! But a good one, nonetheless) to teach girls self-control & pushing through pain (hello life with babies & toddlers😅) as well as submission.
I know the submission one sounds strange, but it’s sometimes incredibly hard to *cheerfully* sumbit to a coach’s dumb decisions and continue on in contentment, cheering on the team!
Parents can also use it to teach good life lessons at a time when self control is tested in a young woman’s life, (biologically speaking)
- yeah, you actually don’t deserve that spot because that other girl is either more skilled or has worked harder for it.
- yeah, that was a bad call on coaches part, but such is life. You can only control your response.
- yeah, it wasn’t your best work out there tonight. Chin up; no fussing, no pouting.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk😅
@Eric_Conn I never cared about the WNBA before Caitlin Clark started shedding a light on what it’s like.
Now I freaking hate the WNBA😅
Shut ‘er down, boys! Just shut ‘er down!
@FreddyLA7 If you’ll still be here end of November, The Brawl of the Wild is in Bozeman MT this year and it’s a riot:) it’s the two main universities (natural enemies) in the state and it’s a good time!
@MakewiEatsSpam@PerfInjust@RelatablewABS I don’t think we do share the same “underlying structure of the faith” because our world and everything in it was created by the *Triune* God who gave us rules and the Triune part changes everything about how one can see and understand the world & its rules.
Also, I think the people this would appeal to views baking& cooking as a simple science. Not valuing the finesse needed to gain those tiny details of improvement. The method you use to cut it butter, for example, changes things drastically!
It’s more of an art that this diagram can explain.
🚨attention homemakers📣
What do you think about this?
I’m not really understanding how one would know what to mix separately first?
Is it me who cannot read the diagram or is the diagram flawed?😅
Been looking for a comment from a woman😅

Pastoring is more than preaching and most preachers don’t know that. That’s why the church is a mess.
I’d also bet money that the years of practice applying the guidance of Scripture to the real world would do something to your preaching💯👌🏼
@ironhorse0000 No, it shouldn’t.
You think it’s harder to preach than walking a family through their four-year-old drowning in a death in a pool or spouse discovering years of hidden into infidelity?
Maybe you’re more of a preacher than a pastor.
This is a warped view of the family unit and economy, for starters. (Because it’s unbiblical.)
Furthermore, competing in a show like American Idol & winning it is certain not to strike a healthy work/ home life balance that would be Biblically appropriate for a homemaker& mother. As evidenced by her husband quitting his job to care for the children.
(Also an absolute, and even more egregious, inversion of Scriptural mandates for the family economy.)
