@anica39 @punk_double I booked it in the end only when I was actually in paris but still used my SA card. I paid extra in the 261 fee for the full excess waiver which was worth it there. Honestly the rate was okay but the holding fee was rough.

@anica39 @punk_double @Avis @Anele 300 euro holding deposit and 261.38 euro fee. And this was after a lot of searching. Maybe it was because the olympics were a month out at the time but many of the holding deposits were 500 euro and some even 1000 euro

Hired a fiat 500 in france and had to go with a company that charged double the rental fee because their holding deposit was only 10k vs the others that were between 28k to 36k. For a tiny car! They all scammers these rental companies

@molefeh @Foch_JL @therezkin_ @geordinhl mid november they tried unsuccessfully to get a booking and left it, then begining of Dec they still did not have a booking so called again to see if the DA could assist them (maybe pull strings?) to get a booking as they had still not secured the booking anywhere else
