@_davidkim@ResidentDoctors@CMA_Docs 1/2 Partly because there's no consistent evidence to suggest it reduces medical error. Partly because duty hour restrictions like that also have (unintended) harms, including some negative impacts on education and on "wellness".
McCreary: Cefazolin does not share a side chain with any other beta-lactam. That means there ZERO cross reactivity. The only patients who shouldn't be getting cefazolin are those with a known cefazolin allergy. @ErinMcCreary#ASHP18#IDintheED#ASHPEM
