Remember to stay safe this weekend: wash your hands, keep 2m apart & wear a mask when you can’t. These are small steps that protect us all & show we care. Share your favourite mask photo using #AlbertaCares and visit https://t.co/JK7Yed1vfx to learn how to wear them safely.
When you wear a mask you show you care. This is my favourite mask, and when I wear it I know I’m helping to protect my community from #COVID19AB. I encourage you to share your fun masks at #AlbertaCares and tell us who you’re protecting.
As kids & families begin to enjoy outdoor playgrounds, I wanted to share some tips on staying safe:
✅Maintain at least 2 metres between kids not part of the same household/cohort family
✅Sanitize hands before & after playing on any structure
✅Wash your hands when you get home
This long weekend, I am asking Albertans to practice physical distancing & avoid gathering in groups. Please protect your health & the health of those around you.
Summer is almost here & I know many of us want to enjoy the outdoors. Please remember that a single case of #COVID19AB can result in significant spread in large groups of people.
Make sure you take precautions before heading out.

Family doctors are still providing care to patients & I want to encourage anyone who needs care to call their doctor. Most family doctors can do virtual visits by phone or other means & can determine how to best get patients the care they need.
Here is a summary thread of today’s #COVID19AB public health update. In the last 24 hours, we confirmed 187 new cases of COVID19 for a total of 3,095 in Alberta. 1,273 people have recovered. (1/8)
If you are outside, please do what you can to protect yourself & those around you.
✅Be healthy & without symptoms
✅Practice hand hygiene & cough/mask etiquette
✅Practice physical distancing
❌Avoid touching rails, garbage cans or other potential sources of transmission (2/2)
Now that the weather is improving, getting some exercise & spending time outside is important to your mental health. You can enjoy the outdoors while taking all the necessary precautions & following #COVID19AB public health orders. (1/2)
I know the littlest people in your lives may ask the biggest questions. We've developed a fact sheet at https://t.co/Woj3likVvB for kids & families. I encourage you to use it to have open, honest conversations about #COVID19AB & the measures we are taking to prevent the spread.
Today's live update on #COVID19AB and the ongoing work to protect public health will take place at 3:30pm. A thread summarizing my remarks will follow here.

I would like to call on Albertans to share the acts of kindness that they have experienced in their community during this difficult time. Please continue to take care of yourselves and each other, and share your stories using #AlbertaCares. We are all in this together.
