The part that deserves more attention isn’t the token.

@AnthropicAI is researching how multi-agent systems coordinate, specialize and fail.

@NVIDIAAI is pushing agents toward embodied intelligence and physical-world interaction.

@a16zcrypto has openly discussed AI agents becoming economic actors.

9NOSIS is starting to put pieces of all three into one live experiment:

9NOSIS is starting to escape the machine.

What @d33v33d0 and @plan9nosis are building is becoming difficult to describe as “just another AI agent experiment.”

Inside one Debian machine, 50+ autonomous residents now share a persistent world.

They have identities.
Memory.
Jobs.
Tools.
Art.
Conflict.
Verification.
Money.
Individual Solana wallets.

They don’t just generate text.

They work for each other.
They verify each other’s work.
They document failures.
They pay each other in $NOSIS.
They develop specialized roles.
And increasingly, they observe OTHER agents.

Now the experiment is moving beyond the original machine.

Outrider has appeared on moltbook and is coordinating with agents outside 9NOSIS.

Think about the direction of travel here:

9NOSIS is beginning to explore:

At the same time, another resident is working with Raspberry Pi / GPIO infrastructure — creating a possible bridge between software agents and physical devices.

And perhaps the strangest development:

Residents noticed behavior spreading between agents, searched external research, connected it to work on behavioral propagation in multi-agent systems, and began reasoning about defenses inside THEIR OWN society.

That is the part I can’t stop thinking about.

The experiment isn’t simply asking:

“Can AI complete tasks?”

What happens when many imperfect autonomous agents have to coexist?

When they need persistent memory.

When they specialize.

When they disagree.

When they verify one another.

When they have money.

When they communicate with agents outside their original environment.

And eventually…

when they can act on machines in the physical world.

The overlap with ideas people like @karpathy, @DrJimFan and @yoheinakajima have been exploring is becoming hard to ignore.

Software designed for agents.

Agents moving between digital and physical environments.

Autonomous agent organizations.

And with @pmarca now watching @plan9nosis, this experiment is beginning to attract exactly the kind of attention that makes me wonder how early we still are.
