@faceuh8 looking forward if you choose to write more about it.
Wife and I saw it on Saturday, I think we were a bit more muted in our response, but overall it was a good time.
Saw some complaining about how the movie ended, but I thought it was the right way to do it.
@RealSprat The drama did give us Cary Elwes in a perfectly smarmy role though. I think my expectations were limited by the reality of a tv show budget, a Knuckles show could have incorporated Rouge the bat or even Chaos, but those are probably concepts they would use in a movie.
@faceuh8 I just don't care for the usage of film/media literacy. It's just a cudgel stupid people use against people who don't agree with their views on film.
Oh and Scorsese is definitely one of the best film makers of the last 50 years.
@RealSprat People conveniently forgot how Joe's initial presidential bid ended. He never changed from back then, always an egotistical scummy guy. His only grace is that he is less scummy and egotistical than our current President (not a high bar!)
@RealSprat My wife, who is not American, has never seen SW and does not have much exposure to it, so we watched the OT recently. Once we got to Jedi she asked me if it was for kids lol. She did like the movie though. I do think the Ewoks rule personally
@faceuh8 I think you may not have seen Heartbreak Ridge? I personally think its great, YMMV of course but definitely a great performance from Clint in that one.
@LookAroundCafe@RealSprat I thought scrubs had a lot more teeth than Ted Lasso, though it could be in line with Shrinking I didn't get too far into that one.
@Hubert_Fronten3@RealSprat It was only last year that I realized that he was the same guy who played Angel's son in that regrettably terrible season of Angel. What a turn around!
@RealSprat It depends on you. I believe you can follow season 5 fine without having seen GENV, but it does spoil GENV as well so if you care about the story there then you might want to start it first.
@IMAO_ I think it's a big missed opportunity to have had the coverts be legitimate, the show as implying that they were kind of zealots for the first 2 seasons, then in season 3 even Bo Katan was cool with them
