Happy Birthday @drmoore!!! I’m thankful I had the chance to study under you @sbts. You helped to sharpen and refine my thinking upon the weighty things of God and his gospel.
@juleswoodson11@cs_shaver@WSoto201 @beingbeloved220 Don’t engage with this account. He trolls the accounts of those calling for this investigation and who support the victims of SA within our churches.
When you catch an @SBCExecComm trustee in a public lie about the insurance policy and stating as fact that we will lose our coverage if we waive liability. He stated it PUBLICALLY but told me PRIVATELY that he had NOT seen it...
I would remind Messengers and EC members of the following statements made publicly by Task Force Chairman Bruce Frank and Guidepost CEO Julie Wood, during the EC meeting:
@malachiobrien@SAGordon@R_Denhollander@pastordmack@RodDMartin So you trust a friend with no legal training over someone who has not only legal training, but specializes in dealing with the particular part of the law which this investigation falls under? This is exactly why we are in our current situation.
@jenlyell@SBCExecComm@SBTS A useful question is to whom is their fiduciary duty? Perhaps I’m wrong, but I’ve always held that ultimately said duty is to the local churches of the SBC. We have already spoken and told them what we want them to do.
Statement from Liz Evan, attorney and member of the #SBC Sexual Abuse Task Force:
"If you are a Southern Baptist, you need to understand what has just happened in your @SBCExecComm. They have flagrantly defied the overwhelming will of the Messengers.
