I think the assumption it places on humans is that we're easily grouped.

@Amanda__Diep This is a powerful message. It is becoming more important to ask questions in this dynamic environment we exist in. Asking questions allows us to understand why we do things a certain way, and this understanding will give us the information to make informed choices.

@CharlottedEDUC @bonstewart While I also find myself turning to incognito mode, I don't believe it to be 'foolproof'. After some online shopping, I still get targeted advertisements on separate platforms that are based off of my incognito searches. So this makes me wonder: How protected are we?

#unboundeq A large space for algorithmic bias is found in politics. Algorithms largely control what we see on our social media platforms which can be used to persuade us. We are getting away from using facts to inform one another and moving towards bias.

#unboundeq I find it very interesting that we live in a time where there is a push for diversity within companies, however a company as big as Amazon has algorithms in place to promote homogeneousness. This is eye opening to how big of a façade these companies hide behind.
