@CandiceBSNRN@Acabralmsn2022 I agree, I like talking to people. I enjoy teaching in a traditional classroom in fact, I miss it LOL. Due to Covid many of our ACLS and PALS classes which I taught regularly are reduced and condensed.

Asynchronous post conference is a way students can use discussions forums to share and discuss clinical experiences in leu of the traditional face to face post conference. Students may feel more comfortable with self reflection.

Peer learning allows students to share knowledge and advice to support each other's learning. Helps build teamwork which will carry them through school and into the workplace. Collaboration is a part of multidisciplinary patient centered care.

As a Gen X, learning to teach Gen Z's has been challenging. Understanding generational differences is important in developing teaching strategies for a diverse student population.

#DistEd534 This website is great for finding helpful educational apps for your self or students. Less time consuming then searching yourself
@MyPreci65626609 I definitely had to be ready and willing to start my MSN journey. I thought about it for years but didn't start until 2 years ago at 50 years old. It is never to late to learn!
I empathize with Marion as I had health issue at beginning of class and took a few weeks to get back to being wonder woman! A huge reminder to take time for yourself and breath! Your all super heroes!

@kkaydee87 LMS allow instructors to connect with students and tracks their progress. They also help track and collect data needed for accreditation surveys. This app appears to be user friendly. In today's busy world information and data should be easily populated and extracted.
Live proctoring is essential to prevent academic dishonesty. It can be challenging making sure technology is connective and compatible. My experience with a a live proctor was not very good for those reasons in Advanced Pathophys. I felt it affected my final exam grade.
Virtual proctoring services like Honorlock & Examity are useful tools for upholding academic integrity of highly regulated curriculums, such as those of nursing programs, during student examinations. #DistEd534

Clinical simulations differ as they allow students to develop clinical reasoning skills and "practice" on simulated patients as opposed to real patients. This safer, lets them take their time, and make mistakes without harming anyone!
How is online clinical simulations different from real-life? Evidence-based literature states that, "virtual learning simulation increased knowledge of evolution significantly, compared to the traditional lesson" #DistEd534
Nearpod looks amazing and very interactive. I like that it translates for ESL students. I taught Pathophysiology to paramedic students. Many of them with GED's. This would have been great! I used a lot of humor and video's especially for difficult concepts.
#DistEd534 Higher education prepares students for the workforce (O'Neil, 2017). Are nursing students from blended learning programs prepared for acute care settings?
@DistEd534
Escape rooms are a fun way to improve communication and collaboration skills for student nurses. I wish they had this when I was in school. Anyone have experience with this?
Gamifying knowledge: New escape rooms are a fun way for @CSUBNSME nursing students to learn.
Starting earlier this fall, #CSUB nursing students have been able to sharpen their communication and critical thinking skills in a new way: seven escape rooms. https://t.co/vgiR9XtJ3d
