@StillUnsocial @ask_aubry A JD is not a doctorate of philosophy, correct. It’s a professional practice doctorate. But it’s still a doctorate level degree. This is true even if lawyers aren’t referred to as Dr. (tho we could). It’s rt there on my diploma so universities definitely designate it a doctorate.
