@GovernorShapiro@neoavatara@RobertKennedyJr Josh is running for President. His party is so left wing and antisemite that he’s had to completely change his entire persona and now just sues Trump.
Mr Shapiro, your party will reject you. Go back to being a moderate and our governor
Our goal with AI Search is to make it easy to connect with original coverage and a range of perspectives.
Now live in AI Mode (already in AI Overviews): link carousels for developing topics. Ask about something that's trending and you’ll see links to relevant articles, webpages (incl your Preferred Sources) front & center.
Here’s an example from the other day 👇
We have been building data centers all over the place, all around you, for decades, and you never noticed, because they're completely innocuous. Of course I would live next to one; after being in and around them for many years. I know that they're fine to live next to.
If you’re a hater of “data centers,” then be consistent: don’t use AI, don’t stream movies or music, don’t livestream from your phone, and don’t rely on cloud-based services from your computer or TV.
You can’t demand the digital world at your beck and call while opposing the very infrastructure that makes it possible.
A data center is almost comically tame as industry goes. No smokestacks. No ore piles. No molten steel. No freight trains of coal. Mostly a very large box containing computers, electrical equipment, cooling systems, and an expensive humming noise. And even this is apparently too industrial for us.
"Ban data centers!" is the "Defund the police!" of the current moral panic.
It's a luxury belief policy idea that, if actually implemented, would have disastrous downstream consequences for the country.
Love them or hate them, the entire global economy runs on these bad boys.
The data center resistance is a moral panic that is now causing a political stampede. It is based to a great extent on misinformation, as Noah Rothman points out here.:
The anti-data center stuff is insane and clear evidence that we have entered a post-truth era where many people can be convinced, often by malicious actors, to abandon reality and allow conspiracies/falsehoods to drive policy preferences.
We’re not going to let greedy developers bully their way into our communities in order to build reckless AI data centers.
If you want to build here in Pennsylvania, you’re going to need to follow the strictest standards in the nation — or you better find somewhere else.
@nickshirleyy It’s hard to take @RepThomasMassie seriously as he’s accomplished nothing but everyone disliking him. All his bluster, he can’t convince anyone of anything
In other words “Why can’t a 24 yr old solve all the government’s spending problems?”
You people in DC are a large part of the problem. All you do is complain and whine on 𝕏 while your job is to actually work for us.
I’ve exposed and saved America billions. What have you done?
