@daltonbrewer@wholemars Man, gets exhausting going through these cycles of “time to moon”. I would have figured that I’d be a Pluto by this point. #plutoNeverForget
I’ve got a great plan for everyone that doesn’t like @elonmusk being a trillionaire. Sell me all your $tsla and $spcx shares for $1. We’ll tank the share price and in turn his net worth!
@devang_shah@bradsferguson Another of those gut punches… add to the list of why we have shown faith in Elon/BoD but have expectations that we should see a significant return on our patience/allegiance. We’ve forgone significant investment opportunities based on the vision cast by the leadership of Tesla.
I don’t think it’s about “right” per se but more wanting acknowledgement of the broken trust/faith that’s been shown through the years. New models are coming… hold instead of dump. Soon your car will be a RoboTaxi, hold instead of dump. We are going to grow 50% yoy, hold instead of dump. 100,000 Robotaxis on the road, half the US covered, 10,000 Optimus, 2 million CyberTrucks… on and on, hold instead of dumping. Yes, we’ve probably been stupid. But we suffered the abuses because we believed in the outcome, not the timing. Held when we should have sold probably, but always afraid that tomorrow was the day U-FSD shipped, the next battery breakthrough was announced, or the version X Optimus was revealed that created the next stair step in $tsla value. In wanting to reap the reward, we have been bag holders.
@tesla2damoon@bradsferguson He can’t just take Optimus with him. There are patents, intellectual property, timelines, buildings, tooling, etc. SpaceX could start over and probably go 50% faster, but they’d still be years behind. And there would be so many lawsuits.
Interesting research/analysis will be is what is the effect on $spcx with so many small shareholders. All the 1-25 shareholders. Seems like those are advocates more than investors. When it comes time to vote will they have higher participation (emotionally invested) or absent (my little vote doesn’t matter). In the distribution of companies (maybe $tsla as a comparable) what is the % of retail small lot ownership (25 shares or less). Do these historically consolidate into larger positions?
@greggertruck Just start charging people to ride in it for RoboTaxi rides using ASS, just explain that its operating range is currently in beta and very limited. The revenue you show should allow you to sell it to a buyer at a premium.
@Cyber_Trailer I'm wondering who the sellers will be? Who gets in at $135 and is then dumping at $150 once you consider capital gains. Really curious what the volume will end up being tomorrow. I'm guessing 320M shares will trade (30% of the available, and changing hands twice).
The buyers will purchase at $135. The open will be a set price that it will take to get those buyers to become sellers as soon as the stock starts trading. For example, if you said $134, would anyone move off of their allocation for a loss? Not likely. Would they do it for a $5 gain? $50? What price will it take to get volumes flowing from sellers to buyers.
@BeardedTesla At least the ability to tap the speed limit when it is wrong so that they can review the inferred speed limit and video data to better train on speed limit signs.
@TitaniumTomP That’s one possibility, but also check out The Great Loop as an alternative way to enrich your son’s life over a year. https://t.co/D9k74qOhYP
