Trying to be on here less, on account of like…everything. Not going to fully quit bc I don’t want to cede space to the crazies but will probs be posting on BlueSky more so come see me there (my account is in my Twitter bio)
If I see another liberal tweet about trans people being “valid”, I’m gonna lose it. I don’t care about being “valid”, I care about making it to the next day. If you really wanna help trans people, you need to be working with them to help them stay safe in this new reich

None of these countries are perfect, they all have their own problems, evil things their governments do, and asylum systems are hugely dehumanising. Only seek asylum if you really think it’s your only chance, don’t take it lightly. But don’t wait till it’s too late either
Putting my money where my mouth is - I did some research and looks like only three countries have completely unrestricted gender affirming care, legal gender change and non-binary recognition: Iceland, Denmark and Germany. Links for asylum processes and language learning below.
Resources for them or orgs that cis people can donate to. I think a lot of people see themselves as allies because they express the right sentiments, not because they do the right actions. In a time of trans persecution and criminalisation, allyship is sometimes going to 3/
Willing to use your privilege and stand up. Because someone who tells you they respect your human rights but doesn’t lift a finger while you’re forcibly detransitioned and banned from public life is functionally the same as the people doing it to you.
Seeing a lot of people posting stuff like ‘trans people are safe with me’ or ‘trans rights matter’, presumably as a result of the EOs in America, and like it’s very sweet but I don’t think your trans friends need validation right now? They need financial support, exit routes, 1/
Involve you jeopardising your own sense of safety. It can look like a doctor changing someone’s dysphoria diagnosis to ‘low testosterone/oestrogen’ so you can keep prescribing to them. It can be a records clerk issuing an ID in the right gender ‘illegally’. You have to be 4/
I've spent years working on this and it really comes down to this:
Any single tiny thing you can do to feel like you're helping build a better future is more productive than 10,000 hours of dread.
