From the Bristol Channel to the Thames Estuary, sewage dumping on an organised, industrial scale all of it caused by just 2 companies, @SouthWestWater & @SouthernWater.
And the @DefraGovUK, @Ofwat & @EnvAgency does what exactly?
This website is genius.

A typical European car is parked 92% of the time. It spends 1/5th of its driving time looking for parking. Its 5 seats only move 1.5 people. 86% of its fuel never reaches the wheels, & most of the energy that does, moves the car, not people.
Seems important.

I was asked on a panel recently what futuristic sci-fi I thought was "realistic" and every single example I could think of was dystopian as hell, which tells you something about my current levels of optimism. But here's this from faber looking for "escapism that offers hope".
@henningmc_ @CollabDocs@itsnotaphoto@simone_natale This is what he does now: https://t.co/3zyfTMuQCY, he talked about in it Bristol fairly recently: https://t.co/EFHjIMjJlv
@henningmc_ @itsnotaphoto That sounds like Minority Report (the hand swiping), production design by the very interesting Alex McDowell. Also worth looking at are Cronenberg’s Videodrome, Linklater’s Through a Scanner Darkly, and the various TV chunks from the original Verhoeven Robocop.
