@jtsaxon Many centers admit patients prior to tricuspid intervention for treatment of chf and iv diuresis as part of their protocol. I would hope we are capturing/excluding these patients.
@jasonryanmd Risk doesn’t equal treatment benefit. PVCs post MI looked black and white. Raising HDL looked like a great idea. Everyone still recommending red wine and niacin for their patients?
Virtual head-to-head study of 7 postdilation techniques in provisional LM bifurcation PCI:
• POT-only or P-S-P: suboptimal
• Sequential + simultaneous KBI: best, especially in fibrotic/calcified plaques
• Final POT after KBI: no added benefit
I guard my mulberry tree and the rest of the garden like a hawk, but the most majestic bird on the face of the earth can have as much as he and his lady friend want! @Cardinals
We had a case of abrupt vessel closure after DCB. DCB is a hot topic, but we should prepare for complications. we went with a hybrid DES & DCB strategy. Post-DCB results were good, but when we removed the wire, there was acute vessel closure. We weren’table to cross into TL.
@DFCapodanno@CMichaelGibson Since we published our meta-analysis in Lancet there have been 5new major RCTs, these two plus OCCUPI, IVUS-ACS (the largest), and DK CRUSH VIII. These latter three were positive, the two you mentioned negative. An updated meta-analysis would still be markedly positive.
@JayMathewsMD@DFCapodanno@AmputationSuck This is part of it. Why is someone messing around for 22 minutes in a study protocol for IVUS that pre and post adds 5? This delay could be clinically significant to outcomes in a complex or left main PCI in and of itself.
