So honored to have the opportunity to work with @CraigRogersMD and company at @VattikutiUrol next year!
Endlessly grateful to my mentors and team at @RushUrology— this journey would not have been as fruitful or half as fun without you all! @alexanderchowmd @EdwardCherullo
So honored to have you. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to learn from your journey and expertise. Impressed doesn’t even begin to cover it— especially when you’re ordering hot dogs like a Chicago native!
Thank you, residents and faculty @RushUrology for the kind invitation for Visiting Professorship. Chicago is known to be a bit chilly but not when the hospitality is so warm & personable. Tie is off, sleeves rolled up enjoying Chicago style Portillos hot dogs before flying to PHL
Happy weekend from our family to yours! These skyline views (thanks for hosting @alexanderchowmd !) reminding us how grateful we are to work in this beautiful city— and with this amazing team of residents, attendings, and OR staff.
If Shakespeare lived in the age of SP: “This incision by any other name (SARA, SPAM, STAB) would still allow either retroperitoneal or transperitoneal access.” @drjkaouk— a Shakespearean leader in Urology in his own right— describing the steps to obtain access with this incision.
SP retro for mortals #1: When starting from low anterior (SARA/SPAM) don't fall into the trap of aligning your boom arm pointing at the ipsilateral shoulder. Point toward the contralateral mid clavicular line. This will take you swiftly to the psoas, the ureter and the hilum.
Loved working with each of these incredible humans as sub-i’s and so happy we convinced them to stay! ✨🥳 Can’t wait to have you all working alongside us again soon
My sisters practice in Canada, they receive $10 per patient communication, in basket msgs, emails, phone calls, etc. Its a sore subject for US physicians and major source of #burnout, this new gained knowledge was added salt on the wound. #emrfail@SocietyGURS@AmerUrological
If you didn't match in urology today please know this isn't the end for you. 1/3rd of all the applicants didn't match based on the data. 1 in 3. And many practicing urologists were there too. You are not an outliner. You are normal. You are a badass. You will get there.
Racism and sexism have no place in this world. As a former Tulane MedPeds graduate, the traumatic experiences and microaggression faced were immeasurable. I was there for four years and can not imagine experiencing this for over a decade. 🧵 #DNRTulane#DrDennar
