Thread below! 🧵
Dear folks across environmental studies, environmental humanities, and environmental sciences, please consider submitting article for this Call for Papers for our Inaugural issue of Plant Perspectives in early 2024.
@BalaChaudhary @claire_willing @mykophile Thanks Bala! We will give the ink stain a go! The redwoods have been weird in many respects so maybe unsurprising. This same clearing and staining protocol worked nicely on some grasses and forbs.
Question for the AMF folks! @claire_willing, @mykophile & I have been staining redwoods. It looks like the cortical cell walls are staining; unclear if there are really robust AMF hyphae there or if somehow our Trypan blue is staining the cell wall. Has this ever happened to you?
@shrutip129 @claire_willing @mykophile Thanks for your reply! Have you ever been able to troubleshoot a protocol that didn't stain the cell walls? I'm curious which plant species you've had this problem with?
Interested in the rhizosphere, in situ micro sensors, redox and soil warming? Come work with us!
