@ginasillitti Congratulations!

NY's Public Library Construction Aid program is the largest pool of direct state aid available to local libraries, but it's not nearly enough. https://t.co/GHoQTh2Qp3

#WilmingtonNC is my 2nd home, my family visits a few times/year. It's vibrant and gracious, where kids of all kinds share toys on the beach. The people I know value childhood & community fiercely. It's painful to see these images. No one should ever feel frightened @ the library.

[gwen fulton @gwen_fulton]

Cape Fear Proud Boys boldly and valiantly descended on STORYTIME at the local public library in #WilmingtonNC to intimidate the crowd... which was all CHILDREN under the age of SEVEN. Why? Because the theme of storyline was "Pride" and "celebrating all families." Who's POYB now?

[Caroline Ashby @carolineashby]

I’ve never shared my wordle before but hooboy is this a dream?

📢🚨⚡️!!!

[Kimberly Jean Pierre @Kimjeanpierre]

While I’m encouraged by many of the critical investments outlined in Governor Hochul’s budget proposal, we need SO much more funding for our public libraries, especially given all they’ve been through the past 2 years. Will be fighting hard to restore cuts & increase dollars.

[Republican Leader Ed Ra @EdwardRa19]

Looks like a mixed bag. Library Aid increase of $2M to $96.1M but Library Construction Aid reduced to $14M which is down $20M from last year’s Enacted Budget.

[Caroline Ashby @carolineashby]

🧐"The Executive Budget...continues funding for various education grants programs, including...Public Libraries." Well, at least we can continue to exist?🥴

[Republican Leader Ed Ra @EdwardRa19]

@mcnamee_briana Lacks info on libraries

[Caroline Ashby @carolineashby]

Had a great time repping the critical importance of #ebooks4all with @mcnamee_briana on @CapPressRoom. Thanks to @NYLA_1890 for advocating for ebook access for all of NY’s library patrons!

[Bri McNamee @mcnamee_briana]

Coming up on The Capitol Pressroom @carolineashby & I chat about “everything e-books”. @NYLA_1890 #LibraryAdvocate https://t.co/ExuNC3aMdo

[Caroline Ashby @carolineashby]

Great to hear from @GovKathyHochul that there is “nothing more valuable than education and training when it comes to unlocking opportunities.” 👋👋👋 New York's libraries are doing it day in & day out for NYers of *all ages* in *all communities* at *all times*.
