In 1984 a card counter got barred from the Vegas casinos for winning too often. He took $150,000 to Hong Kong and started betting on horses instead. By the end he'd won close to a billion dollars.
His name is Bill Benter. He looked at horse racing and saw the same counting problem, just with more moving parts.
He showed up with a partner, a suitcase of cash, and a computer. Then he spent years teaching that computer to estimate one number: the true chance each horse had to win. When his number came in higher than the odds the bookies were offering, he bet. When it didn't, he did nothing.
That's the entire edge. Expected value:
EV = p · b - (1 - p)
Bet only when your win chance p, paid at odds b, is worth more than the cost of being wrong. Nothing else.
None of it was secret. It's the first probability lecture at MIT - the clip here, Professor Tsitsiklis putting the basic rules on a board. Freshman material.
Everyone trading crypto does the opposite. One chart, one gut feeling, same size on every bet whether the odds are there or not.
So I built the Benter version for spot crypto - a Claude agent that estimates the real odds, compares them to the price, and only takes the trade when EV is positive. Most days it sits flat. That's the point, not a bug.
No magic. It can't see the future and it doesn't print money. It waits for the math and skips everything else.
I wrote the whole thing up as a notebook you can run and try to break - the model, the EV logic, backtested on real data you can poke holes in.

Every Sunday for thirty years, Billy Walters put $2 million dollars at risk on football and never touched a single bet himself.
He sat at a wall of phones while partners using fake names - jbird, Wolfman - fired his orders from inside the sportsbooks. The second a book realized a bet was his, they stopped taking it. So he stayed invisible. Thirty years, not one losing season.
He wasn't picking teams. He priced the game better than the bookmaker did, and only bet when the line was wrong. Most of the time it wasn't, so he sat out. He waited for the number to be off, hit it hard when it was, and sized every bet the same careful way.
Everyone trading crypto does the opposite. One chart, one gut feeling, same bet size whether they've got an edge or not.
So I built the Walters version for Bitcoin - a Claude Fable 5 agent that does the waiting for me.
It reads the 5-minute candles and asks 31 small models the same question - what happens next - then counts the votes. If they argue, it sits flat. It only takes a trade when almost all of them land on the same answer, and it sizes that trade with Kelly. Some days it does nothing at all. That used to bother me, until it clicked that the sitting still is the whole point. You lose money forcing trades, not skipping them.
No magic. No "AI that prints money." Just a pile of dumb models voting, and a rule about when to listen.
I wrote the whole thing up as a notebook you can run yourself - every model, the voting logic, the Kelly sizing, backtested on real data you can poke holes in. I'd rather you try to break it than take my word for it.

Why did nobody tell me the best returns in history came from one boring rule? Jim Simons made 39% a year for thirty years on it. Not a prediction. A count.
Bill Benter pulled close to a billion out of horse racing on the same rule. And a professor at IIT Madras proved it the hard way, with chalk, in a room almost nobody watched.
The rule is the law of large numbers. One draw tells you almost nothing. Gather enough independent draws and the truth shows up on its own. Everyone teaches the easy proof, but that one only holds when the variance is finite. Take that away and the shortcut breaks. So he did it the honest way, with characteristic functions, and the law still stood. Chalk and a claim, tested to the floor.
I keep coming back to that proof, because it's the exact thing my trading bot runs on.
Everyone trading crypto does the opposite of what Simons did. One chart, one indicator, one gut call, same bet size every time.
So I built the version that trusts the law instead of me - a Claude Fable 5 agent that does the counting.
It watches the 5-minute candles and asks 31 small models the same question - what happens next - then tallies the votes. If they argue, nothing happens. It only takes a trade when nearly all of them land on the same side, and it sizes that trade with Kelly. Most days it sits flat. That used to bother me, until it clicked that the sitting still is the edge. You bleed money forcing trades, not skipping them.

One good draw proves nothing. Build it, run it a hundred times, and let the count tell you if it holds.

Yang Mun is sold. $170K. He's not mine anymore.
Which means I can finally give away the exact playbook that built him.
→ how I picked a character that hit 6M
→ the 3 script formulas behind 70M views
→ the 5-tool pipeline (5 min per video)
→ the 5 income streams that made $500K
I was going to charge $500 for this but he's sold now so F*ck it its FREE
