Students are using an excerpt from “War of the Worlds” to create the Martian described in it. Then, they had to defend their drawing using textual evidence. They had a great debate arguing for their drawing using evidence. #ourfutureisbright @casd_ela

I’m late posting, but on Friday I was able to collaborate with a colleague in the library on “dissecting character traits”. The kids loved getting be doctors as they decided what their patient (character) needed! Student engagement was high! ⁦@CASDNews⁩ ⁦@casd_ela⁩
