@humantransit Americans travel TRILLIONS of miles in cars. I guess that means there is ZERO demand for free, instantaneous, teleportation technology. Checkmate liberal.
@uslibposting@AezzieUwU I mean, yeah. Blue Dogs do overperform in red areas. The data is pretty clear. Idk what the point here is. I don't think they should run in solidly blue seats, but in very competitive or red ones, absolutely.
@maps_spams@Socdem_Michael Yes. The GOP being so extreme has lost them dozens of winnable races, even in red years. We should not repeat the same mistakes.
@ablata_at_alba@constans A grocery store near me requires you to get an employee if you claim you aren't buying a *bag*. You HAVE to click "brought my own bags", set them down, wait for the scale to register them, AND click not buying a bag to not call an associate. It's horrible.
@Aardwolfy@PollTracker2024 Perennial candidates typically run even when it is obvious they stand no chance, and I imagine often underperform benchmarks. Osborn was an insane overperformer with an obvious path to victory.
@Sir_Longshank@BasedIllinoisan You're on to something...how large exactly would the handout to Boomers be? Not sure what the current tax rate is, but that has to be HUGE π€―
@questionableway I think the much more important number is percentage of people who don't own a car or the percentage of people who commute via transit + bike + walk + WFH (or remove WFH from the denominator). Transit itself doesn't tell the whole story. Still want more L service tho π
@_fat_ugly_rat_ Based on your earlier post about walkability, you'd probably like it. I love the views and could get used to the weather, but the lack of good transit or bike infrastructure and crazy sprawl gets to me.
@TODNewsHub@cornoisseur She just knows incredible ball. Bides her time in a political climate hostile to her (2022) to wait for the moment most advantageous to spend her political capital. She plans in centuries. I literally commented on how boring she was at DNC 2024. Now she's a top 3 gov easy.
@RockyLotito@sam_d_1995 Nope. Committing a crime that wastes thousands of taxpayer dollars to ensure you don't get stuck or die does not give you a pass to further waste taxpayer dollars.
