When a Dem has credible allegations against him, he is forced to drop out by other Dems.
When a Republican has over a dozen credible allegations + Is proven in court to be a rapist + Is BFFs with the most infamous pedophile sex trafficker in the world, they make him president.
Graham Platner was accused of rape and every Democrat tossed him overboard.
Donald Trump was accused of rape multiple times and sexual assault and harassment many more times. Also the whole matter of trying to overturn an election.
Republicans nominated him a second time.
.@elonmusk says that no one can name a person who died from his aid cuts. In fact, I've met the kids who are dying, and I've talked to the families who lost children. In my columns, I've cited many, many names of people who have died because of Musk's aid cuts. A few examples:
*Yamah Freeman was a 23-year-old woman who died in childbirth because Musk cut funding for the diesel for ambulances in her part of Liberia. She couldn't get to a hospital and died as people were carrying her there. I talked to her parents and sister in their village.
*Gbessey Kiadu, age 1, died of malaria because of his cuts to malaria medication in Liberia. I talked to his mom in her village.
*Ibrahim Koroma, an infant, died of AIDS in Sierra Leone after he interrupted HIV supplies. I talked to health workers who cared for him.
*Achol Deng was an 8-year-old girl with HIV in South Sudan who died when Musk cut funding for the health care worker who provided her medicines. I talked to the healthcare workers.
I could go on and on. In almost every village you go to in South Sudan, Uganda, Liberia, Sierra Leone or other countries I reported in, you find people dying because of aid cuts. I challenge Musk: Come with me on a reporting trip, and we'll talk to these moms and dads, and you'll see the dying children themselves. I think if you see the kids whose lives are at stake, maybe you'll change your mind.
Hard to find a better encapsulation this month of Trumpism than this.
Failing governance at every level is no big deal, because now conservatives believe they have a permission structure to be disrespectful to gays and other people.
The slush fund.
The ballroom.
The IRS get-out-of-jail-free card.
Donald Trump isn’t serving the American people — he’s serving himself. And he thinks you’re dumb enough to fall for it.
And let me tell you something, this is going to compel even the most reticent Democrats like me to support drastic changes to the courts. I’ve resisted for years. But this just shows that Republican judges are anti-small d democratic forces in the worst way.
Not everything is about Trump. I just believe every citizen's vote ought to count the same.
And that the person who gets the most votes ought to win.
Also, wouldn't it be nice for Utah to no longer be ignored in presidential politics?
The ceasefire terms appear to be a massive L for the US. Iran charging 2M per ship for passage through strait.
If the terms hold past 2 weeks, We just fought a war to end freedom of navigation in the strait of Hormuz , in Irans favor.
at my mom's funeral, we only had time for a few people to get up to speak. One of them declined standing at the podium and instead stood directly in front of me (and my sisters, who are not religious). She then, into the mic, beseeched us to come to Christ, how mom would have wanted this, etc.
Then the next person who came up also declined the podium, stood in front of us, holding the mic, and talked about how the only thing she loved more than her girls was jesus and she of course only wants one thing for us.
Then we were out of time, and the pastor went up, and he closed by looking at us was like "If your mom could come back she'd be trying to tell you that it's all real."
fuck christianity man. It's a mind parasite that destroys actual connection and grief between people and replaces it with the taxidermied corpse of an ancient cult leader
Trump’s second-term pardons are historic in their enormity—billions in fines erased, allies protected, donors rewarded, DOJ undermined, and election norms threatened. Corruption looks less like an exception and more like the rule, says Cato’s Dan Greenberg.

I just exercised my right as a Member of Congress to conduct an unannounced oversight visit of the ICE field facility in Baltimore. The staff I met with respected my right to visit, but what I saw was disgraceful. Kristi Noem has a budget of $75 billion she could use to ensure humane conditions, but we saw 60 men packed into a room shoulder-to-shoulder, 24-hours-a-day, with a single toilet in the room and no shower facilities. They sleep like sardines with aluminum foil blankets. Whether it’s for three days or seven days, nobody would want a member of their family warehoused there. The room set aside for dangerous criminals and violent offenders was empty. We’re demanding immediate answers and action.
Watch until the end.
Ali Karami, a 26 year old Iranian protester killed by the Islamic Republic in recent uprising, wrote this in his will before going out to protest:
“If I die before my dog, please let him see my body. He understands death. He can mourn me. If he doesn’t see my body, he will think I have left and will wait for my return.”
This is the kind of human being the Islamic Republic kills.
A regime that calls a dog unclean, yet finds it perfectly acceptable to murder a peaceful protester.
A government that fears dignity, loyalty, and love more than anything else.

Having the guy who runs an infamous torture detention facility where we unlawfully shipped immigrants speak at the National PRAYER breakfast is truly the encapsulating image of 2026
