@bitterstat It’s interesting that Sam talked about that in the studio scene before Louis messaged Lestat for help in 3x05 he was already coming to the conclusion that that relationship was off and that they probably can’t continue as is, but he was sidetracked
@cherriestat Add the casualness of Christine requesting that he provides sexual favors during the “fan experience” (that turns out to be with Thomas Pitt) to prevent a litigation for hotel damages
@xomarhxo Nothing new. I remember coming here after S2 finale, after crying my eyes out about that beautiful reunion scene and people here were absolutely mad and livid about it. I thought I accidentally walked into a crazy house.
@samreidgifs I love how they showed us how noisy and messy Lestat life is and what it means for him to love Louis. The peace it comes with, because then it explains why he was so content with hiding everything away from Louis and Claudia. He loves the sanity that comes with Louis.
@lestatslelio I suspect we’ll see some of that footage in S4. QOTD book revisits a lot of TVL flashbacks scenes. I won’t expect much but we’ll probably see some extended cuts form Auvergne and maybe Paris framed differently.
@mxyurifull Unlike Louis and his blood farm, Lestat is actively killing and consuming blood from modern people and taking in their memories and experiences. They made it a plot point that he wrote Black Licorice song after absorbing a teenager’s blood and seeing it full of ticktock dances.
@CryWilliams I remember seeing some spoilers about Lestat only drinking “ethical” blood from the farm and thinking: oh no, they are sanitizing my favorite monster boy. Thankfully he was still happily murdering in S3 and not just the evildoers like he did in the book 😌
Love Sam’s nerdiness about the show and books! 🤓
Loved how he addresses the gaping hole that is Armand/Lestat relationship, how Hannah was always supposed to showrun S4 and hinted that they know specific locations for S4 that will hopefully allow them to film specific scenes.

@Lucyddreams I would even say that TVL season is partially an adaptation of the QOTD book. Now rereading it it’s amazing how much of that book is in the show already. All the rockstar stuff and some more cynical world view of show Lestat is borrowed from POVs of the ancients.
