Technical exploits are the hardest DeFi risk to insure, and @Firelightfi has spent a lot of time tackling them from multiple angles.

Insuring systems with little or no usable incident history is tough, and technical risk is very protocol-specific.

Firelight breaks it into Risk Decomposition → Risk Modelling → Model Simulation:

• Risk Decomposition: break each protocol into 70–80 concrete risk factors (code quality, audits, change/privilege controls, dependencies, monitoring, lineage).

• Risk Modeling: build multiple simple models against those factors to estimate where/how failures could occur, then calibrate with known patterns and stress scenarios.

• Model Simulation: run lots of simulations under different conditions (upgrades, oracle/bridge degradation, role compromise) to see potential losses and set sensible terms/limits.

AI ties it together by reading code, learning patterns across those factors, and stress-testing edge cases; so pricing and cover are based on transparent methods, not vibes.☀️
