This course has been fulfilling in the way that it has closed a lot of gaps in knowledge between previous chemistry and biology courses. I was most surprised by how well this class flowed, I thought the online format would be more challenging than it was #hunterbiochemistry

I feel like I have been learning bits and pieces of aerobic respiration for years but #hunterbiochemistry finally gave me some insight into the specific enzymes and molecules actually involved in the various processes!

I often use the youtube channel Leah4Sci to help with orgo and she has a new MCAT channel that has been helpful with amino acids and pH in #hunterbiochemistry!

One type of test offered that was encountered last week are genetics tests to help guide your fitness. It shows the company believes in this idea, since they have given their own employees the opportunity to participate in an event combining genetics and fitness #prescottgenomics

The Innovative Genomics Institute (@igisci) in the past used CRISPR to improve efficiency of certain methods toward sickle cell treatment, and has since widened their research efforts #prescottgenomics

A component of science that has always interested me is the ethics behind decisions. Obviously there are various ethics boards at different levels, but how do scientists make sure the appropriate people are making these ethical decisions? And appropriately so? #prescottgenomics
