Great read here! I really enjoy the message of purchasing locally, supporting your community while finding healthy options is a win-win! @beh353#beh353
Mythbusting food labels was one of the biggest aspects of starting this platform. Why? Because I once believed the myths too. @AGDAILYMedia

@Saribelv03@beh353 I really like how you mentioned that eating healthy is a way of life rather than just a diet! I think this perspective can help change the mindset, and lead to more positive results! Great post and good luck with finals! @beh353#beh353
As a future (hopeful) physician, it will be important to be the most well-rounded physician possible for patients. This includes providing strong evidence-based info on nutrition! I feel it will be important in areas like prevention and inflammation. Diet=Fuelπ@beh353#beh353
@claire_weg@EmmaDArpinoRD@beh353 I enjoyed learning about this as well this week! I use a lot of frozen fruit for smoothies and was unaware of these facts. I am not sure why, but I always just assumed that frozen fruit wouldn't be quite as nutritional as fresh fruit. Glad I learned this! ππ @beh353#beh353
Great read here! Fueling your body can be an important aspect to consider, especially for athletes! I imagine these concepts can be beneficial while preparing for exams! @beh353#beh353
Thank you so much for your time this week @EmmaDArpinoRD! I found the chart comparing milks to be really helpful. I never considered how the body is absorbing calcium from these different milks. Examining priorities is another topic that I didn't consider. Thanks!

Great read here! Nutrition security is an important topic, moreover discussing food insecurity and different challenges related to this are beneficial for all! Nutrition security is a topic worth discussing and learning more about! @beh353#beh353
@luzantara@beh353 Hi! Great choice for an article, I found it very easy to follow along to, and I like how each section is broken down to explain the topics. I like how the author incorporated the term diet diversity, and the importance of eating a variety of foods! Thank you! @beh353#beh353
Found this article in hopes it would be beneficial for learning about nutrition! The article is great for children, using bright colorful photos + strong info from Harvard TH Chan school of Public Health. Education is π@beh353#beh353

@quxnl01@beh353 Great post! Something from the reading this week I found was that 95-98% of the attempts to lose weight fail. I liked how the article mentioned habits are what really matter. There are so many variables to what classifies someone as "healthy" not just their weight @beh353#beh353
I can no longer discount when my mom tells me that produce was better back in the day!πI never considered the process of handling and how difficult that can be in terms of product quality. Great read! @beh353#beh353
From the reading this week 45% of adults stated being preoccupied with their weight, some or all of the time. It will be important moving forward to approach with grace and a positive attitude. Life can be difficult for so many reasons=time for a shift in thought @beh353#beh353
@Saribelv03@beh353 Great find for this week! Something that I believe is super important for college students is that balance of getting enough sleep. As I prepare to take the MCAT, squeezing in that extra hour or 2 to study > sleep may actually negatively impact my initial goals! @beh353#beh353
Great video to watch! Oatmeal is something I regularly consume, but never quite understood the mechanism behind the claim of lowering cholesterol specifically bad LDL. Watch the video to learn more! πͺ
Steel cut, old fashioned, instant, flavoured - what kind of oatmeal is the healthiest? In my latest video I compare nutrient content, glycemic responses, and satiety to find out. https://t.co/iepREwxvgY
One fact this week that stood out to me is that chronic shorter sleep durations are associated with obesity. Effecting hormones and ultimately altered energy balance=potential weight gain. Journaling hours of sleep will help to see my trends in sleep patterns! @beh353#beh353βοΈ
Great read here! Adherence to healthy diet = potential association to a lower risk of major chronic disease. Still seems that so many of the food options miss the mark on aiding to a healthy diet! @beh353#beh353
Scientists: Literally, the 7 millionth study showing the powerful health benefits of simple food patterns like DASH or the Mediterranean diet.
Everyone: BUT WHAT ABOUT KETO!?!?!
One of the barriers that I have experienced to healthful eating, is the unhealthy diet of friends and family. Between all of our busy schedules, eating out becomes an "easy" option on many weeknights. Agreeing on something to eat always seems to be a struggle! @beh353#beh353
@gabbyadorno1@beh353 I also find myself experiencing a lack of time to plan when it comes to healthy food. With such a busy schedule it becomes "easier" to just do something quick that I may not be as conscious about the nutrients. Planning weekly dinners on sunday has helped! @beh353#beh353
@tang_katelyn@beh353 Super interesting to see this, I also had no idea that each kernel had to be pollinated. It's fascinating how nature works when you get to see it up close like this! It feels so easy to take food and its process for granted, thank you for sharing this! @beh353#beh353
Interesting to see this question raised. Can think of times where I have been told or thought because something is zero calorie it has to be safer! Be careful what you consume and research the fuel going into your body! @beh353#beh353
