I think there needs to be more athletes involved in some of these NCAA decisions. I feel that the NCAA makes choices that are not in the best interest of an athlete. Let the athletes make profit too! #ucr50 @edavidsonhed
Women deserve much more respect than what they receive in college sports. For example last March madness the men’s gym had a lot more equipment than the women’s. There needs to be a change for women’s athletes. @edavidsonhed #ucr50
Having diversity in an athletic department goes a long way because it makes the students and staff more comfortable with knowing the right people are there to help grow the athletic program #ucr50 @edavidsonhed
#ucr50 Student athletes are far to often treated as just athletes and should be treated as the capable students that they are. These athletes are taught to prioritize their sports & still expected to perform like a average student. @edavidsonhed
Balancing school and athletics is a very hard task for athletes. If they don’t perform well enough than they will not play and might get cut from their program and if they don’t perform well in school they might get cut as well so balancing both causes stress #ucr50 @edavidsonhed
I think that this weeks reading shows how much money really is involved in college sports to where the highest paid employees at these big time schools are the head coaches. The coaches do deserve big pay days because they bring the school publicity & $ #ucr50 @edavidsonhed
@Kayzz_z @edavidsonhed What do you think about the ncaa making billions of dollars when the athletes are the people generating the money. Some athletes are on scholarship yes but athletes pass up a lot of opportunities to play like internships. The ncaa is a business and can’t run without the players.
@kaorenae @edavidsonhed I think at the end of the day the ncaa makes billions of dollars a year off of these college athletes who are struggling with school and are financially struggling as well. To give athletes a small percentage would make everyone happy. Yes I think paid as a pro.
