@JackieMitchard You were absolutely delightful and pushed out dear @byJeffchu in all the best ways. I will now follow you and read your SubStack. Feel free to tease me about my views on everything West Parish of Barnstable. I can’t wait to dive into my first book. It’s good to live on cape cod.
I feel the same way @CoreyFarrenkopf All I want to do is write abd walk in the pitch pine forest and by the salt marsh with my energetic golden retriever. I don’t want to learn to mend or knit. Paying attention and telling about it is enough.
I keep seeing all these writers talking about craft this and craft that, but I have no idea how to sew. I can’t crochet or knit…can’t I just write my weird little stories? I don’t have the time to pick up another hobby :)
NO ONE WANTS TO LIVE IN AN EMERGENCY SHELTER. But 121 Massachusetts house members voted to limit how long people can stay in emergency shelters. This isn’t just about money, it’s about our morals and who we are as a Commonwealth. Shameful #mapoli https://t.co/90oeT5Ho9Y
Let’s be 100% clear: any Massachusetts town meeting using the language of “invasion” and not immediately shutting it down is courting racism. This isn’t about housing density & MBTA. It’s about hatred. #mapoli https://t.co/XzutvNmoKh
Today, parts of the Church remember Saint Porphyry of Gaza. Seek quiet where you can to hear where God is calling you. Remember the poor, the sick, the dying. Remember Gaza this day.
Beloved, ministry is the best, hardest work there is. We accompany people in the most tender, intimate moments of life for no other reason than to show Love.
If any part of you asks, "Is this for me?" Press into it. Consider it. Some days I can barely believe the honor.
Let's say this aloud: 300 army cots is not a home. This picture should break our hearts. It's better than a blanket on Logan Airport floor, it's still terrible. Lord, forgive us. Thank you, John Tlumacki & every journalist who lets your heart break, too

"We are in a state of emergency and none of us should stand by while women, children, and families sleep outside, or in an airport,” said state Senator Liz Miranda @LizForBoston. Amen. https://t.co/Gvb5fABLFY
