Countercultural father. Catholic traditional pseudonymous; wife not really called Anna, 4 kids who aren't really called Antonia, Bernadette, Charlie & Dominique
Does it not strike anybody else as strange that several of the most perverted people in the world are obsessed with promoting the lie that people can change sex? (Rhetoric is easy ; thought harder…)
Does it not strike anybody else as peculiar that several of the wealthiest people in the world are obsessed with preventing other people from changing their sex?
If it's a choice between:
being right (ie believing and obeying the teaching of the Church)
or:
being in communion with those who refuse to do so,
I'll go with the Church every time, thanks...
Too many Catholics prioritize their ideological loyalties, and being “right,” over communion.
A case for Catholics of different generational, cultural, socioeconomic, and economic backgrounds to be in dialogue with each other, inspired by my discussion with @JamesMartinSJ

It is interesting that in this piece, the writer refers to the presence of Christ in many places, but not the Real Presence. For myself, my reasons for only receiving on the tongue are not, I believe, performative piety, but spring from deeper concerns: https://t.co/ezRI56B6gg
@VenomEnrique Ask questions! Especially when things seem odd to you. Seek to understand the perspectives of those who differ from you. Evaluate them in the light of the Tradition of the Church, the Sacred Scriptures, and the Magisterium, and, of course, personal prayer.
@VadeadIesum It seemed to me (and I suspect to many) that you provoked people deliberately and then refused to engage with the many serious points they raised, failing to recognise your own ignorance and making spurious claims, and then resorted to blocking when you ran out of arguments.
@GaiusF23@MrCasey62 Personally, I never pray the rosary during Mass; I say mine at other times during the day. However, I absolutely oppose people dictating others’ devotional practices and insisting on uniformity where the Church allows diversity.
@GaiusF23@MrCasey62 Surely praying with Our Lady at the foot of the cross, meditating on the Passion and Death of Our Lord, is a wholly appropriate way to participate in the most holy Sacrifice of the altar…
@BruvverEccles I remember when the priest had to do and pray what the rubrics required, and the laity chose to participate as best suited them; now the priest chooses whatever he wants to do or say, and the laity have to obey Bugnini’s view of participation. #clericalism
@VadeadIesum It is your assumption that you know better than they do how they should pay attention, that people find offensive. Vocal participation is not the only way: meditation and contemplation of the Passion and Death of Our Lord, with the BVM, is laudable.
@VadeadIesum@ETCON_ The Faithful receive Our Lord’s body, blood, soul and divinity when they receive under the appearance of bread alone. Learn the Faith!
