Κύριε Πρόεδρε @POTUS σας ευχαριστώ πολύ για την πρόσκλήσή σας, είναι μεγάλη τιμή να είμαι στον Λευκό Οίκο. Oι χώρες μας έχουν οικοδομήσει μια πραγματικά στρατηγική συνεργασία και οι σχέσεις μας βρίσκονται σε στρατηγικά και ιστορικά υψηλό επίπεδο. Σε διμερές επίπεδο, συνεργαζόμαστε στενά σε σημαντικούς τομείς και υπάρχουν προοπτικές και ξεκάθαρη και ισχυρή πολιτική βούληση και από τις δύο χώρες μας, μετά και τον πρώτο στρατηγικό διάλογο ��ου πραγματοποιήθηκε στην Κύπρο την περασμένο βδομάδα, για να ενισχύσουμε περαιτέρω τη συνεργασία μας.

Σε περιφερειακό επίπεδο, η Κύπρος είναι ένας προβλεπτός και αξιόπιστος εταίρος για τις ΗΠΑ, σε μια περιοχή μεγάλης γεωπολιτικής σημασίας και εργαζόμαστε στενά με τις ΗΠΑ και άλλους εταίρους για να αντιμετωπίσουμε τις παρούσες προκλήσεις, για να στείλουμε την πολύ αναγκαία ανθρωπιστική βοήθεια στη Γάζα, και για την εκκένωση υπηκόους τρίτων χωρών από την περιοχή.

Κύριε Πρόεδρε, η χώρα μου βρίσκεται υπό τουρκική κατοχή τα τελευταία 50 χρόνια και βασίζομαι στη δική σας στήριξη, στη στήριξη των ΗΠΑ για να επαναρχίσουν οι διαπραγματεύσεις και να εξευρεθεί λύση στο κυπριακό πρόβλημα. Λύση που θα είναι σύμφωνη με τα ψηφίσματα του Συμβουλίου Ασφαλείας των ΗΕ, λύση στη βάση των κοινών μας αρχών και αξιών: της δημοκρατίας και του σεβασμού των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων. 🇨🇾🇺🇸
