We had a great time at the @SmithsonianACM this weekend, hearing remarks from Congresswoman @EleanorNorton, Akiima Price, & Brenda Richardson, learning about women & environmental justice in DC, and reflecting on what activism means to us!
Our favorite climate bill is back 🤩
@RepCarbajal just announced he will reintroduce the Energy Innovation & Carbon Dividend Act this week!
The bill charges corporate polluters a fee for their carbon pollution & gives Americans a #CarbonCashback.

As we brace for Tropical Storm #Ophelia the Northeast Boundary Tunnel stands ready to help reduce overflows to the Anacostia River and mitigate neighborhood flooding. It can hold up to 90M gallons of stormwater and sewage.
🚨New bill alert 🚨 The BIG WIRES Act has been introduced by @SenatorHick and @RepScottPeters!
“This bill should be at the forefront of the conversation about how we should reform the permitting of our energy infrastructure,” said CCL's Ben Pendergrass.

Want to feel powerful in climate action? Reshape our gov priorities! "In 2019, 66 percent said they could personally make a difference, a number that has fallen to 52 percent this year, with the sharpest declines among Republicans and independents." https://t.co/waNcm6G5Pf
ICYMI: The House #ClimateSolutionsCaucus relaunched this summer! 🎉
We're grateful that @EleanorNorton has has been serving on the Climate Solutions Caucus since its founding in 2016, and we can't wait to see what #bipartisan legislation comes out of the reignited group.
We're glad to see the House #ClimateSolutionsCaucus has reached bipartisan parity again!
CCL appreciates @RepGarbarino & @RepHoulahan for their leadership in co-chairing this vital group.
We plan to push the caucus for more ambition & action than ever.

I am following up on yesterday’s devastating floods to question various agencies.
We must now contend with more severe weather due to climate change, but that doesn’t excuse our city from taking meaningful steps to keep residents safe.
I sent the following letter to DC Water:
Congratulations to our volunteer @MaxBroad, who published this op-ed on DC's recent air quality issues, climate change, and the need for #ClimateActionNow!
Check out the article in @streetsensedc!

It's great to see funding for flood control and for cleaning up local waterways in this bill! Thank you @EleanorNorton for all of your hard work getting these funds for the District. We can always count on you to stand up for DC residents and help protect our environment!
Although many anti-home-rule amendments were included in the text of the DC appropriations bill released today, I will do everything in my power to defeat them.
The text included many DC victories, including $40m for DCTAG, a program created by a bill I authored.
Thanks to all the Nevada @citizensclimate volunteers who went to Washington DC to tell Nevada legislators that climate solutions are one of Nevadans top priorities
@RobinPaone@SteveDaines@citizensclimate Yes!! We value our relationship with you @SteveDaines - and your awesome team both here in Montana and your friendly smart DC staff! And thank you for all the inspirational bipartisan work.
@DanaNuccitelli@citizensclimate Fantastic. Our meetings with Hawaii delegation were very productive. Great work by all involved. And a special shoutout to our participating youth! #CCLonTheHill
