@IQTestBrain First establish that the smaller circle lowest point is exactly on the same line as the center of the larger circle: 5 x 2 =10, 18-10 =8 exactly the r of the bigger circle. Then make a triangle where hypothenuse links the two circle centers. Apply Pythagora. 8+12+5=25

@chronark Is that across transaction boundaries? How does that even work with multiple writers? I guess it could work if you’re inside the same transactions. And ORMs like JPA do it behind your back and call it 2nd level cache that you can’t even disable.
