5. Temperament: Some breeds, like Orpingtons and Sussex, are known for their friendly and docile nature.
6. Climate adaptation: Breeds like Egyptian Fayoumi and Java are adapted to hot and humid climates.

Selective breeding has led to the development of over 300 chicken breeds worldwide, each with unique characteristics and uses. Breeders continue to refine and improve chicken breeds through selective breeding, ensuring a steady supply of eggs, meat, and feather products.
