Scientific research is fundamental to advancing civilization and helping people globally to solve the most critical problems, from medicine to materials, from brain science to physics, and much beyond. This is only possible when scientists have access to the best tools of the time to conduct scientific research, including having access to AI-based tools.
@trq212 💯 agree. I do it via decisions and punch list with numbering and commit them in the repo so as to track the decision trail
Example ( as I just published parts of my cc configuration ) https://t.co/YYAgTaSbYJ
If you use Claude Code on engineering work, part of the friction is scoping, dispatching parallel work, and grounded research.
Built a plugin that handles all three. 3 skills, MIT, audit, install in one command, configure and use however you like, free

- Drafted a blog post
- Used an LLM to meticulously improve the argument over 4 hours.
- Wow, feeling great, it’s so convincing!
- Fun idea let’s ask it to argue the opposite.
- LLM demolishes the entire argument and convinces me that the opposite is in fact true.
- lol
The LLMs may elicit an opinion when asked but are extremely competent in arguing almost any direction. This is actually super useful as a tool for forming your own opinions, just make sure to ask different directions and be careful with the sycophancy.
🗞️ | They asked Ben Affleck, who was standing next to Matt Damon, what he considered his friend’s best film.
Ben replied:
“I’m really looking forward to The Odyssey.”
Matt interrupted:
“I’ve made over 100 films and you pick one that hasn’t even come out yet?”
Without missing a beat, Ben shot back:
“I’m trying to promote your movie—and that’s how you respond?”
Hans Zimmer thinks Christian Bale was a better Batman.
He said he couldn’t connect with Ben Affleck’s version:
“The Batman I know is Christian’s—haunted, unresolved, still that kid who saw his parents die. Ben’s felt middle-aged and grumpy.”
Happy to see a failed live demo 100/100 times rather than a BS scripted demo
Making new technology is hard
Having to demo it live takes balls
Big props to Meta for giving it a shot 👏
Marketing people think this is bad
But this builds a insane pile of trust among engineers.
You know the stuff the show is real. You know they dare to actually ship. And they believe in their product enough to take the risk of something breaking live.
I’d build for that ecosystem rather than some fancy after effects vaporware marketing demo.
Hot take: Zuck handled this incredibly.
Can’t imagine how stressed the team must have been. He went out of his way to not put any additional pressure on them.
When the lead came out, he consoled them and said “don’t worry, we’ll share a video of it soon”
Great leadership 🫡
