Perhaps what being Canadian really is is the willingness to bend over and take it from our government who doesn't do anything to protect us. "Elbows Up" they say. The only Elbows Up should be to the chin of the government that put us in this position.

Do you remember when the carbon tax was removed from gas? I filled up that week for $1.13 Every penny gone back onto that price? Corporate greed strikes again and our government is doing absolutely nothing to protect us from it.

I user to look down at our nose and scoff at those who protest in the streets around the world. I used to look at them and think "don't you have a job to go to? Now all I realize is that they've been around much longer than Canada and have simply had enough.

If we were in France or some Middle Eastern country we would be on the streets protesting this utter abuse. They say being Canadian is to be polite. Plenty of "sorry's" and "thank yous".

@tyler_cybulski @CTVNews Hopefully a privatized hybrid health care sytem will help alleviate these issues one day. Privatized for those that are covered by their employer and OHIP for those who aren't. This is the only solution I see to the problem.
