The 300 Bed-Space Specialist Hospital Millennium City, Chikun, Kaduna, now renamed Bola Tinubu Specialist Hospital, stands as a troubling example of projects completed but not serving the people.
Commissioned in June 2025 with high expectations, this laudable facility remains under lock and key over 10 months later, yet to deliver the critical healthcare services it was built for.
A 300-bed specialist hospital should be saving lives, reducing pressure on existing facilities, and improving access to quality healthcare. Instead, it sits idle while communities continue to struggle for care, and those who can afford it are forced to travel elsewhere to access the services meant to be available locally.
Even more concerning, reports from the community indicate that the ambulances supplied during commissioning are no longer in the facility, raising serious questions about asset management, oversight, and accountability.
- Why commission a fully completed hospital that is not operational?
- Who is responsible for ensuring it becomes functional?
- Where are the critical resources meant to serve the people?
Public infrastructure is not for ceremonies. It is for service to tax payers.
This situation reflects a deeper issue of premature commissioning, weak post-completion planning, and poor accountability mechanisms. Citizens deserve more than ribbon-cutting events, they deserve functional, accessible, and life-saving services.
We call on Governor @ubasanius, @GovKaduna, @Kadunastategov1, Kaduna State Ministry of Health, Hajiya Umma K. Ahmed and all other relevant authorities to:
- Immediately clarify the status of the hospital.
- Ensure it is fully operational without further delay.
- Account for all assets, including the missing ambulances.
- Put in place a sustainable plan for staffing, and management.
This should not continue, #publicfundsmustworkforthegoodofthepeople

I had the distinct pleasure of receiving the top management team of Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna, where they presented a comprehensive update on the progress of their automobile assembly’s operations within our State. The delegation, led by the Managing Director, Ibrahim Issa Gachi, offered valuable insight into the company’s steady advancement and strategic direction.
As a major shareholder, Kaduna State remains unwavering in its commitment to supporting the growth, resilience, and long-term sustainability of this important enterprise. I commend the company’s ongoing efforts in assembling new vehicle models, soon to be introduced into the Nigerian market; an encouraging development that reinforces our collective aspiration to deepen local manufacturing capacity and reduce dependence on imports.
I am equally appreciative of their acknowledgement of our administration’s deliberate efforts to foster a secure, stable, and enabling environment for businesses. Their expansion plans and projected investments in the months ahead are both reassuring and aligned with our broader vision of industrialisation, job creation, and shared prosperity.
Our ranking as second in Ease of Doing Business nationwide, and first in Northern Nigeria, reflects sustained reforms anchored on transparency and efficiency. We shall also be increasing our equity stake in the company, further affirming our confidence in its future.
I encourage Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited to sustain its commitment to excellence, innovation, and transformative impact.
Senator Uba Sani, CON
Governor of Kaduna State.
The Nigerian political scene is very interesting.
Leaders suddenly become advocates for good governance when elections approach or their time in office is ending.
Young people have big ideas, but low voter turnout.
AI. Tech. Innovation. But when it’s time to show up, to register, vote, and demand accountability, the numbers don’t match.
So who exactly will build the country?
Voters registration closes April 17. The country you want needs your participation.

BREAKING!! Senator Agom Jarigbe Allegedly Turns Public Projects to Family Business!!🛑
From May 2023 to Sept 2024, N637.2m was paid to Janjari Company Limited for the Construction of solar street lights in Nkum Ekajuk and other projects in Cross Rivers North Senatorial District, the same senatorial district he is representing.
Investigations have shown that Janjari Company Limited, is a company affiliated with Senator Agom Jarigbe, the project facilitator. The company has three Directors, five shareholders, and one secretary, all of whom have Agom Jarigbe in their names.
Meanwhile, the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act prohibits public officers from using their position to secure contracts for themselves or close family members.
The question is, was this project routed through the proper procurement process before the emergence of Senator Jarigbe’s company as the contractor? And for conflict of interest, should this company be the handler of such a project?
We call on @icpcnigeria, @frcnigeria, and @BPP_NIGERIA, to investigate this and ensure transparency in public procurement processes.
NEGLECTED PHC AT EREDO, LAGOS‼️
Dear Gov @jidesanwoolu, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye,
Ibowon PHC in Eredo, Epe, Lagos state, has been in a poor and deteriorating condition for over a year. The windows, doors, toilets and roofing are broken.
With only one nurse and one doctor available, the centre is unable to meet the health needs of residents. Many people are forced to travel to other health centres and hospitals outside the community to seek medical care, which is costly, stressful, and sometimes dangerous during emergencies.
Pregnant women, children, the elderly, and those with urgent medical needs are the most affected. The continued neglect of Ibowon PHC puts lives at risk and highlights the urgent need for rehabilitation, improved staffing, and better medical services for the people of Eredo, Epe.
We implore your offices, the @followlasg, @NphcdaNG and @Fmohnigeria, to priotize the reconstruction and equipping of this facility.

ATTENTION!
Gov. @ubasanius, @Kadunastategov1 and Hon. Bashir Yanko Dawaki
The attached slides 1 and 2 are depicting the current shabby state of Mallagum 1 Primary Health Care Centre, Kauru LGA, located approximately 180 kilometers away from Kaduna main city, with over 10,000 persons benefiting from the facility. The facility has not been captured for rehabilitation for over 20 years.
Upon inspection, it was observed that the walls are cracked, the roof is falling apart, and there is insufficient medical equipment available on ground.
But Slides 3 and 4 are suggesting how this same facility can be transformed with proper investment.
There is a need to as a matter of urgency see to the immediate overhaul of this centre. Every life matter in Nigeria and our commonwealth must deliver quality service to all.

Dear Gov @CalebMutfwang,
Over 600 residents, including women and children now live in fear as homes collapse in Dungpit Community, Shendam LGA, Plateau State. A dredging and drainage project that began in 2024 has been abandoned in the same year causing the residents to vacate their homes due to flooding.
Despite appearing 3 different times in the 2024 budget under the project codes: ERGP20241639, ERGP23173579, ERGP28213196, the work is still abandoned, causing more damage than before.
Community leaders and youths are pleading with the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, the implementing agency, to provide the details of this project and remobilize contractors to the site.
We also implore your office to immediately look into this and ensure the residents of Dungpit Community can go back to their homes in peace.
Dear @followlasg, Gov @jidesanwoolu,
This current state of Isawo Road, Owutu-Agric road, Ikorodu, Lagos state is troubling.
The less than 10km road has been under construction for over 8years and is still in shambles.
Year after year, the road receives budget allocations, yet residents continue to face significant challenges commuting through it.
The recent rain has made the road almost impossible to use, with cars getting stuck in mud potholes and long queue on the uncompleted bridge as an alternative.
We implore your office and the @followlasg to hasten on the construction and bring the deserved relief to commuters.

Dear Governor @GovernorAUF,
The pupils of Mubi 2 Primary School in Mubi South LGA, Adamawa, have a heartfelt message for you: "we deserve a better place to learn."
For over four years, only one classroom out of five has desks and chairs, leaving over 500 pupils to sit on bare floors to learn, enduring discomfort that hinders focus and harms their well-being.
This is not just about furniture, it is about their right to a conducive learning environment that inspires hope that can adequately support their dreams.
We urge you to swiftly come to the rescue of the school immediately.

IMPACT FRIDAY 🌼
To celebrate the International Day of PWDs 2022, we visited Assembly Hall of the School of the Blind, Katsina, where we began concerted efforts for inclusive development for PWDs in Katsina state.
This meeting triggered a series of events such as townhall meetings, needs assessments, stakeholder engagements etc.
Fast track to 2024, their needs made it into the 2024 FG Budget where N50m was allocated to the “Vocational Training and Empowerment of People with Disabilities across Katsina Central”
With continued monitoring, this project was executed in March 2025 with over 50 PWDs trained and empowered.

Dear Gov.@jidesanwoolu@followlasg,
Kindly note that over N280m has been spent on the construction and equipping of the 40-Bed PHC in Akesan Community, Alimosho LGA, Lagos State, by @ossap_sdgs, as the implementing agency.
But shamefully, this project lies completely UNUSED despite its completion since May 2023. This is an outrageous waste of public funds!
Lives are at stake while this facility gathers dust and bush. We also gathered that in June this year, this facility was burgled by miscreants who carted away some equipment.
This is a low hanging fruit that only requires staffing and operationalization as every other thing needed is already in place.

N200m was allocated to the Provision and Installation of All in 1 Solar StreetLights in Selected Locations in Kaduna North, Kaduna South and Chikun LGAs, Kaduna state in the 2024 FG Budget.
We tracked this project at Darkar community in Kaduna North and report that over 20 streetlights have been installed.
We call on @fedccojiriver, the implementing agency to provide the public with the locations of this project to aid our tracking efforts.
N111.9m was allocated to the Construction and Furnishing of Library and CBT Centre at School of Post Basic Psychiatric Nursing, Barnawa, Kaduna state in the 2024 FG Budget.
We tracked and report that this project is ongoing. The project has moved from the DPC stage to lintel level as of our last visit.
We will keep tracking to ensure quality work is done.
N20m was allocated to the Solar Powered Borehole at Aisha Sani Street, Keke “A” Millenium City, Chikun LGA, Kaduna state in the 2024 FG Budget.
We tracked and report that this project has not started. The community was not aware of this provision until our visit. They told us how this project is a priority to them and how they have to go to another community to fetch water, which is very inconvenient.
We call on @BiosafetyNig, the implementing agency to provide the public with details of this project and facilitate its execution.
N50m was allocated to the Repairs of Isa Kaita Road by Yahaya Road to Ohikere Close, Anguwan Rimi GRA, Kaduna state in the 2024 FG Budget.
We tracked and report that the road has been graded and asphalted. We were unable to get the amount disbursed to this project, however expected a better output than what was delivered.
We call on @FedRoadsNGR, the implementing agency to provide the public with details of this project.
Dear Governor @uanamadi, this is the state of Sumangara PHC in Gwaram LGA, Jigawa State.
This facility, which serves over 12,000 residents, is in deplorable condition. The roof is badly damaged and leaking, yet health workers are made to operate in the few sections where the structure hasn’t completely collapsed.
With the rainy season in full swing, patients and staff are exposed to hazardous conditions, posing serious risks to health, safety, and dignity.
We urge the @officialJGSG and @jsphcda to urgently renovate and re-roof the facility and provide basic equipment and essential supplies.
