Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh has approved the first large-scale Solar-BESS project on defence land at Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. Developed by NTPC, the 250 MW renewable energy initiative will strengthen energy security for defence establishments across the state while delivering significant long-term savings in power expenditure. More than a beautification initiative, The Eternal Light stands as a symbol of hope, harmony, and civic pride for the residents of the Cantonment. Designed to enhance not only the visual appeal of the area but also pedestrian safety and the overall urban experience, the space reflects the vision of a modern, welcoming, and aesthetically vibrant Barrackpore.

Public spaces are not merely crossings or structures — they become silent witnesses to everyday life, shared memories, and community spirit. Through this initiative, Barrackpore Cantonment seeks to gift its residents a space that inspires positivity, warmth, and belonging.

रवीन्द्रनाथ टैगोर प्राइमरी स्कूल में 22 अप्रैल को जेंडर इक्वालिटी पर आधारित एक विशेष कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। बच्चों को सरल और रोचक तरीके से समानता, सम्मान और अधिकारों की समझ देने के लिए एक कार्टून वीडियो भी प्रदर्शित किया गया, जिससे वे विषय को बेहतर तरीके से समझ सके।

इसके साथ ही खुले वातावरण में एक-से-एक अभिभावक-शिक्षक बैठक (PTM) आयोजित की गई, जिसने संवाद और सहयोग को और मजबूत बनाया।

Under the spirit of Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari (JSJB), a water treatment (RO) system has been installed at the office to ensure safe, hygienic and continuous drinking water for all staff—supporting holistic well-being at the workplace.

Under the CEO’s initiative for holistic child development through new curriculum reforms, an engaging session was held at Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Primary School, Sadar Bazar, themed “Dream… Learn… Become!!”

Professionals from different walks of life interacted with students, opening up a world of possibilities and encouraging them to dream beyond boundaries. Children participated with great enthusiasm, sharing their aspirations while embracing the message of gender equality and breaking stereotypes.
