Really brutal assault on umm al-khair just now. Will share full video later, but these two guys (among many others) both punched and kicked me repeatedly, assaulted a 78-year-old activist, threw a small woman to the ground. Second guy had a pistol and somebody showed up with a machine gun after. Army showed up when it was over, settlers told them to detain me, which they did before leaving without a word. A local elderly woman is being rushed to the hospital. We’re afraid they’re coming back tonight. They are getting more violent every day, and will kill somebody soon without intervention from United States embassy. @GovMikeHuckabee
THE MET POLICE ARE LYING
1. It was a public entrance, open gates, no guards, no signs, nothing to suggest the public cannot enter.
Nobody was seen asking protesters to leave.
This 🧵 counters the police’s ridiculous attempt to justify arresting 85 peaceful protestors.
“We are putting Palantir on notice. This is a military surveillance company tied to authoritarian surveillance and the devastation in Gaza — and it has no role in our NHS.”
Green Party leader Zack Polanski on why Palantir must be kept out of the National Health Service.
@TfL happy holidays! Can I please ask: why are the west-bound central line trains much louder coming out of the tunnel from Leyton into Stratford Station as of a couple of weeks ago? Has something changed?
Thanks!
@TfLTPH tph license application made Nov 2023 and still no response. Have tried emailing multiple times with no response. Please advise how to escalate.
🚨 The dreadful MSG Sphere is dead for good! Congrats to @StopMSGSphere who've fought tirelessly and who I've been honoured to support as councillor.
The site must now be put to some good. I'm calling on @NewhamLondon and @MayorofLondon to put social housing on the site.
Land should always be used to the benefit of our communities. Harmful projects like MSG Sphere and London City Airport fail that test.
Thank you to @AvaSantina for inviting me to the @PoliticsJOE_UK studio to discuss our calls for housing on these sites! https://t.co/HnBA1BmsDr
@ZachElsbury@natehiggins@dylanhjm on a whim! 😂 tell me you don’t know anything about those who legitimately opposed, without telling me you don’t know anything about those who legitimately opposed.
Huge thanks to @SadiqKhan for putting residents first with this decision. This first generation Londoner is squeeing with joy that I can continue living peacefully in the home I love, without fear of bright adverts and the need for blackout blinds blighting my life.
5 years!! This has been 5 stressful years of my life. So grateful for all the wonderful people I’ve had the pleasure of campaigning alongside. Never thought this day would come. We made it!!!
We are delighted Sadiq Khan has listened to everyone who opposed this development. A big thank you to London Assembly Environment Committee for their crucial light pollution report.
Above all though, thank you to all who campaigned against it. Today's decision is a testament...
